It's time to let MGP go, man. It's time.
I know, I know. I was part of Cloverfield too, and it left us rather disappointed with the ARG. But if you love something, let it go.

Sorry kosmo -
I was just joking with Super8guy because I thought it was already pretty much established that the movie was set in Lillian, OH.

Okay I missed out on the Cloverfield fun... but I'm looking at this picture and i'm not sure what i'm suppose to see... I just see smoke, fire and the blue lighting I think is the power cord snapping. When you blow up something with power going to it... you will see a blue flash before it goes boom

Hmm... I think since it's a homage to Spielberg, there will be no Cloverfield monsters. But perhaps a monster, designed by Page Neville, like he did it for Star Trek too.

Thing is, if you directly compare the Clover pic to the ghostly image from the TV spot, the DISsimilarities stack up quickly: like it has no chest/shoulder musculature or frame, just 'pipe cleaner' arms sticking out at near 90 degree angles. Not to mention it has no lower-half body at all.
More and more convincing that this is the eye wanting to see something that isn't there — as mounds of previous evidence/statements support.

I think it is the young version of the monster (from Area 51) he has no muscles.
and the end of the film he goes under water and they all think it is dead and this is the beginning of "Cloverfield" and after some years it comes back fully grown out of the water (Cloverfield)

Except everyone involved in making CLOVERFIELD said *that* creature was the baby in that film, told in current day.
Not having muscles is one thing, but missing half a skeletal structure isn't something 'babies' grow into later.
This is a trick of the eye — not the Clover creature.

I thought we already determined in the other thread that the "mouth" photo was a rope? It's tying up the quasimodo head?

Okay I see a problem now that I know what were thinking is "Clovie".
First problem is the size of the monster, if that is the cloverfield monster then it would be a lot bigger, remember this thing stood up a knocked a helicopter out of the sky, which was currently flying over the top of new york buildings, a baby would be at least half the size of that, the smallest I could see it being would be the size of a Elephant.
None it might be something but, I'm honestly thinking that it's just some smoke, or it was a joke by JJ to mess with people, but I think its smoke.
Second, is the theory of bullets being fired at it. At night bullets will leave a tracing mark in the sky, here's a old picture cause I couldn't find a more up to date but its still the same.

As you can see the bullets leave tracers. I think what were looking at is small ciders from the firer.
I also noticed the blue "lightning", if you stop to think about it. I think its just smoke now that I look at it. The moon light reflecting off it, turning it to be a little blue.
(Sorry I'm a paranormal investigator so I tend to look at things differently )
