I'm guessing that "the gates" are the passwords on the PIMCA sight. Here are my thoughts:

1. The four directions are North, South, East, and West.

2. In tarot, each of these correspond with different elements: Earth, Fire, Air, Water

3. Each of these correspond with a different suit on the tarot deck:

Earth = coin
Air = sword
Fire = wand
Water = cup

Hope this helps. Keep me posted on your progress. I'm getting the feeling that if we don't move quickly, it will be too late for B and the others. The cards are telling me that PIMCA might close up shop soon, and after that I feel it will be impossible to track them down.

If it has something to do with the maze, and your supposed to direct the person through it this is what I submitted.

 		Nice job cherrytree;
I submitted the opposite directions, just in case they are going south to north...

Fire bit also comes with a picture of a phoenix, so that might be worth bearing in mind for future pwds

 		Update on Saranna's blog. It's an image of a building at NAU called the Old Main. There are letters below it, and I ran it through a Vigenere Cipher using the keyphrase NAU Old Main and got-

I looked at Shadowlands after solving it and found this:

Talks about places in Flagstaff including NAU, along with Chandler High School which has a building called "Old Main." Not sure what what to look for now, but it does narrow things down.

 		Oh cool, my parents are staying in one of the places on that list!! And I work next to one, and have visited some others. I had no idea. I'm learning so much about Arizona from this game.

Given the previous hints about NAU I'd imagine it's North Morton Hall.
