[Trailhead] DroidLanding (Possible Droid Giveaway)

So I saw an ad whilst watching Hell's Kitchen tonight, and it was for the "Droid X" apparently yet another phone that Verizon's flaunting.

Anywhoo...this article points out that a twitter account briefly flashes by in the video. This account is named DroidLanding.

I took a look at the twitter, it's definitely a company site, and it seems to hint at a giveaway of some sort:
"The next generation of does is coming soon, but you might get yours before that. Droid X phones are hidden across the country. Follow us for clues."

Latest post: "Reports coming in from all check points. How many Droid X units have escaped? Some say more than a dozen..."

Have at it.

The Droid X release event starts in a few minutes. I expect some action very, very soon.

What would you do if you came eye to eye with Droid X? Reply.

Any reason they would ask for a reply?

Don't know. I signed up for email updates from droiddoes.com and I've got a few emails. I went ahead and replied to one. Don't know if that's what they meant.

Consulted with Droid expert. Thinking that Droid #5 and #7 will be found in warmer climates while #3 should be located at higher altitude.

It seems that for the moment we'll have to make do with just vague clues. We definitely have one in the south somewhere, because a previous tweet mentioned one heading south. Maybe one on the West Coast as well. That would take care of warmer climates. What about the higher altitude?

Highest altitudes in the US (Where the droid X is being released) are found near the rockies and west of Kansas.

It's been in the triple digits in N. Texas for over a week now. Crossing fingers for a Dallas drop.

Droid X designate #1 is known to be in the desert. Where most humans could not survive.

Droid X designate #5 has been reported south of Nebraska. Way south. Start your engines.

If that tweet is all we have to go on, I would think it might be in Derby, Kansas. It's way south of Nebraska and its name implies a race (start your engines).

Unfortunately, I live way north of Nebraska.
In Wisconsin.

Yeah, it seems like a clue but a pretty broad one if it is.

I think Daytona Beach, FL or Indianapolis, IN when I think of cities that are synonymous with auto racing.

Perhaps it is a clue as to where specifically a phone will be found when a city is announced. For example, there is Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, TX in the greater DFW metroplex. A clue might lead to Fort Worth and this clue might lead to Texas Motor Speedway.
