Um, it actually reminds me of TribeTwelve Razz

One of my favorite artists.

"Gonna Go Far Kid" by The Offspring

YouTube: Link

This song always reminded me of Alex, honestly. Ever since... what was it, #43? Especially with TTA saying Alex is a liar and the recent downward spiral he's been showing/has had going from the start. The chorus, is of course, talking about Alex's "tying up loose ends" and killing off the cast.
Quote:
Show me how to lie,
You're getting better all the time
And turning all against the one
Is an art that's hard to teach
Another clever word
Sets off an unspecting herd
And as you step back in line
A mob jumps to their feet

Those firs few lines also remind me a lot of Jay's reluctance/slowness to realize just how violent/evil Alex is. He tried to believe him, and tried to help him. But now he's realized just how fucked up Alex is and now he's out to stop him.

Quote:

There's something in your way,
And now some one is gonna pay
And if you can't get what you want
Well, it's all because of me.

You're Gonna Go Far, Alex.

And for some reason, "Your Heroes Are Dead" by Project 86, thought I'm not sure exactly why. I suppose because it's hard to tell exactly who is on what side most of the time. Though that was proven somewhat by #52.

Failure - Stuck On You. Especially the bold part.

Quote:
I heard you driving in my car
Then in a frozen bar
I claimed I didn't care for you.
But your verse got trapped inside my head
Over and over again
You played yourself to death in me.

I thought I'd drop you easily
But that was not to be
You burrowed like a summer tick.
So you invade my sleep
And confuse my dreams
Turn my nights to sleepless itch.

Stuck on you, til' the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you, til' the end of time
You've got me paralyzed.

Holding on the telephone
I hear your midrange moan
You're everywhere inside my room.
Even when I'm all alone
I hear your mellow drone
You're everywhere inside of me

You've got me trapped
I can't escape
Your incessant whine
When you beam it out
All across the sky
No I can't escape
Your insipid rhyme
When you shoot it deep
Straight into my mind.

Not really the song lyrics, but the subject matter for Culling of the Fold by The Decemberists always reminded me of MH. Like, I always imagine songs how they can be choreographed and for some reason, I always end up with this really complex skit/routine thing with MH and CotF. If I could get enough MH fans who would be willing and if the show had some more... stage-presentable costumes, or if I could design some symbolic costumes maybe... I'd love to enter that skit into a con, actually :/ It's like Alex is trying to get rid of the loose ends ["The Culling of the Cast"] but Jay and Jessica are trying to stop him, and then a final confrontation between Alex and Jay and IT MAKES SENSE IN MY HEAD, OKAY? Embarassed

Meredith, have you thought about making a MH vid to it?

There's actually a good Marble Hornets mv using the Lavender theme...IN REVERSE. yeah, it's just as freaky as you'd expect it to be. Props to the maker for their creative editing skills. I can't link because I'm on a mobile, but if you search something like "Lavender Town Marble Hornets" or some variation of that.

Not really this song, but RM74 has done a song that sounds almost exactly like a few of MH's distortions.

The lyrics... they're great, but creepy when you relate them to Slendy Sad

Feel it closing in,
Feel it closing in,
The fear of whom I call,
Every time I call,

I feel it closing in,
I feel it closing in,
Day in, day out,

Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out.

I feel it closing in,
As patterns seem to form.
I feel it cold and warm.
The shadows start to fall.

I feel it closing in,
I feel it closing in,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out.

I'd have the world around,
To see just whatever happens,
Stood by the door alone,
And then it's fade away.
I see you fade away.
Don't ever fade away.
I need you here today.
Don't ever fade away.

Don't ever fade away.
Don't ever fade away.
Don't ever fade away.
Fade away. Fade away.
Fade away. Fade away.
Fade away. Fade away.
Fade away.

Music for Prague 1968 by Karel Husa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k45FWDqLuXw Especially the 1st movement.

Also, a lot of the stuff used by Kubrick in "The Shining," such as this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG5aNAe_p1Y&feature=related
