BTW, for those of you who do watch all the extras (i haven't because i'm traveling for work this week) theres some guy dressed up as Dr. Walter Gibbs Jr. in a lab coat, blue hard hat, and safety goggles yelling "Flynn Lives" at the SF event...

Hope I don't look too dorky. Let me know if you need autographs.

I was on stage! I was next to the speaker wearin the black Oakland A's stuff, carrying the "All of ENCOM's Base Are Belong to Flynn!" sign (among others), and holding a Captain America shield!

As cool as it would've been to go to the SDCC ELOC, I'm glad Operation Tron was the big event I was a part of!

I wish they showed more of the SDCC scavenger hunt from 2009. That was the best part of the campaign to me because I didn't know what to expect. I was tired and hungover from a long day of Con and thought I guess I'll check out this Tron thing...

I also wish they filmed the audience when they showed the test footage in SDCC 2008 (is that on the disc anywhere) after the Witch Mountain panel. Man I practically lept out of my seat when I heard the lightcycles!

Similar thing: Guy took a bunch of pics of us at the final drop, but I never saw those either.

oh I do remember someone linking to some still pics, not a lot, from that day on a flickr site or something, I don't have the link handy, but you might find it in the old posts somewhere.

Oh, I have the pics that were taken by my fellow Pulser, but not the ones that the dude with the laptop and the swag took of all of us. Was hoping to eventually see those, but in the grand scheme of things not a big deal.

Pretty sure they took it out. While doing more research on it I found this

One other scene has been reportedly shot, the footage of which will either serve as additional DVD extra, part of the viral campaign for any intended sequels or teaser trailer footage. This rumoured scene features Olivia Wilde as Quorra. She rides up to ENCOM on Sam's Ducati and causes a stir when she reveals to the swarming press that she spoke to Kevin Flynn. This scene was supposed to be featured at the end of "The Next Day", only Quorra was replaced with Sam in the final cut.

I pre-ordered the set from Amazon, but had it delivered to my house instead of my P.O. Box at school so I didn't get it until last weekend. Then the weekend ended up being crazy busy and I never had time to watch, so yesterday I watched TRON and the new bonus features, and today I finally got to TRON: Legacy and it's bonus features.

TRON: The Next Day was so cool and was a really neat capper to the whole ARG experience. I was happy enjoying this last bit of closure, and then, the address and a request for mail comes up on screen. I'm writing the letter now, and I'm going to send it off as soon as I possibly can. I'm really hoping something comes of this, I can't imagine they're starting a new ARG now since Kosinski is set to direct Oblivion with Universal starting this fall, and then is in the works to direct The Black Hole, but I don't know why else they would give us something that so blatantly indicates a next step in the campaign.

Either way, I'm very curious and very excited. Now… what to write?

If you think about it Kosinski 's Black Hole is slated for a 2012 release which would possible put Tron 3 at late 2013 or early 2014 which is only 2 years away. The Tron Legacy ARG started at Comic-Con 2009 and the movie was released end of 2010 almost a 2 year span. So starting the next ARG this summer or fall or winter would not be that far of a stretch.

Live action films typically take about two years from start to finish, and Kosinski is supposedly going to be starting work on Oblivion for Universal this fall, meaning that the earliest we'll see Oblivion is 2013. After that he'd come back to Disney and if he skipped The Black Hole and started immediately on TRON 3, there's be another two years, meaning the absolute earliest TRON 3 would come out is 2015.

Four years is an awfully long time to sustain an ARG, especially for a product that hasn't been officially green lit yet. Yes, Kosinski and co. are working on a script, and everyone wants to do another, but until Disney gives the final go ahead, it's all just a pipe dream for now.

Also, I'm not sure where you're getting the information for The Black Hole being set for 2012, but I think that estimate is way off by this point because he's currently working on Oblivion, and there's no way he's going to finish both pictures in a year and a half.
