There are certainly lots of unsolved/unexplained little tidbits.

131

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/131_(number)

Noted the unusually large quantity of World War II era US military ships with '131' in their name:
• USNS Mission Santa Barbara (T-AO-131) was a Buenaventura-class fleet oiler during World War II
• USS Bandera (APA-131) was a is a United States Navy Haskell-class attack transport ship during World War II
• USS Buchanan (DD-131) was a United States Navy Wickes-class destroyer
• USS General T. H. Bliss (AP-131) was a United States Navy General G. O. Squier transport ship during World War II
• USS Hammann (DE-131) was a United States Navy Edsall-class destroyer escort during World War II
• USS Melucta (AK-131) was an United States Navy Crater-class cargo ship during World War II
• USS Walter X. Young (APD-131) was a ship of the United States Navy during World War II

Researching to determine if any have a link to the original FFEY-T's wartime activities... We might also be wise to make a note of the names themselves in the event they're utilized in-game.

Alright, looks like Shelley really wants us to see the connection.

Quote:
7/3/2011 - One week to go, and while the reward has been sent, not many understand Pandemonium - not fully - why the name, time and place?

He also made reference to his new "tag-line" which links to a Calvin and Hobbes comic.

Just got an email from YT. I'll post it in full when I get home, but the gist is that it should arrive in three to five working days from now. Like a vampire, YT could not brave the light of day.

Friend,

Your address will soon possess:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/49470000/jpg/_49470646_tiger_cut_pa.jpg x6 and a thistle

All 6 and the flower should arrive within 3-5 working days.
Please inform me if not.

There were.. 'delays' in getting to a place of delivery. It is not always easy for us to move about in public, and when we do, it is hard not to be noticed...

Your address, although you may not realise, is more conducive to events unfolding than you could ever realise...

Your friend,

F.F.E.Y.-T.

When
further discovery - answer to the first question

A few days ago I asked FFEYT for "more light" since he's been urging us to ponder the first puzzle more deeply while waiting for White Day. In response he sent me a paraphrased bit of Poe's "Raven" poem. Some reflection and then Google led me to this revelation:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
20 April 1798, the date that Samuel Taylor Coleridge ordinarily assigned to "Fears in Solitude": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fears_in_Solitude

Another poem to ponder!

I've noticed a couple different cop references throughout. In his email to me, YT's title was 10-Arrived on Scene? -- which, in 10-codes, would be 10-23. Not real sure what to do with that, but there you go.

Luigi Galvani, April 20 1798, Pandemonium . . .
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Luigi Galvani was a teacher at the University of Bologna. In 1793/94 the catholic church started executing people that did not agree with the civil clergy. Luigi was one of those people and therefore on that date resigned from the university and went into hiding with his brother until he died from poverty.

This is how I've connected all three so far, anyone else care to add?

That is (I believe) just the surface. Shelley seems to hint that there may be more.

Also, I only just noticed, but the video Shelley posted on Youtube has the title 131 0001.

This is so incredibly complex and detailed, it must have taken months of preparation!

Got another email. Can't post cuz I'm at a baseball game, but YT is using different 10 codes from me. His subject is 10-97 not 10-23. He also made a reference to Q and Z codes. Check the wikipedia article for 10 codes and payspecial attention to the other codes mentioned. Check all our unsolved trigraphs etc against possible Q/Zcodes.

Okay, home... my team totally lost. BUMMER.

I replied to YT with a '10-4, boss'.

YT wrote:
We are glad you like ten-code - so much easier to shorten things is it not...? Police do it for their radios, the army do it for theirs..
Sorry, too many Qs when all you want, I imagine is Zs!

Good night for this evening Ofiuco,

F.F.E.Y.-T.

'ten codes' is linked to the Wikipedia article for 10-codes, and 'police do it' to a list of police ten codes, presumably the one YT wanted me to use, versus the one I did use, which was apparently not correct.

Remember on the Time piece, when we found 'QTR' and didn't know what it was? Well, it turns out in Q code, QTR means 'What is the correct time?'

I am exhausted. I remember seeing 'KLT' somewhere - I think maybe on his Yahoo account - are there any other random unsolved little bits we're missing?

YT seems to be hinting to me that there's a clue conveniently located in my address. Unfortunately, I can't give you my address, but I can say there are neither ten-codes nor Qs or Zs. :) So perhaps he just means the present is going to spifftabulous.

Very detailed indeed - I'm almost sure there are endless threads left for us to unpick.

"What is the correct time?" could suggest that the game will have something to do with time travel.

Conversely, it could also simply be serving to point us towards the Q codes - as if the White Rabbit from the story knew Q codes, surely he'd be running around saying "QTR!? QTR!? I'm late!".
