It's a reference to the U.S. television series Lost.

Or to The Valenzetti Equation?

Perhaps. However there are other references, such as the continued use of the word Lost with the uppercase L, and the fact that in ?what the letter opens saying:
Quote:
My flight. Lost.

Shelley is putting emphasis on Lost. Whether or not this is in order to direct us to the equation or just the numbers I am unsure. However I do know that in the Lost mythos, 108 is very important since it is the addition of 42, 23, 16, 15, 8, 4. Since it's three digits I figured it could be a possible answer to the first paragraph in ?what.

Another interesting LOST reference
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The tweet "living is easy with eyes closed" which was tattooed on the arm of a LOST character, Charlie Pace. He died but could still communicate with another character, Hurley, who was able to see and speak to dead people.

I've put another possible interpretation for 108 and another suggestion for the first number in comment section of ?what.

Ha... ha... ha.

Just FYI, because the character/PM is a Brit, we should, as a rule, interpret dates as Day Month and not Month Day. It'll save you a lot of frustration. :)

Now... as for What... what do we know?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

'My flight. Lost.' and hexagrams : Ha, ha, yes, TV show.
Kingston and Dorking are parts of London, according to Google... Apollo likely refers to the sun.
'Made the numbers reverse on the University window' - This means it's probably Kingston University we're talking about, and that we have a sequence of numbers that should make better sense when we reverse them. With the earlier LOST reference, though, that might mean the correct sequence is what is in the Tweet about the flight.
'I watched a trailer go by' - This could refer to a movie, and might explain why this was time sensitive. If so, the other clues might be for the name of the movie.

FFEYT is back, here is his latest Tweet:
Quote:
We are rested, having spoken to the architect in this lodge. He advises to reverse a little and ensure our flight is direct... We sleep...
(my bolding of text).

Masonic (lodge) tradition features the Great Architect (Supreme Being) as derived from the (stone)mason metaphor.

The (lodge?) or (flight?) number needs to be reversed...

As I said on flickr:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
465 is dead on for the bus route (Dorking-Kingston)

Apollo Freemason Lodge at Oxford Uni is lodge #357 ... but was #711 when it started up in 1818. http://www.oxfordshiremasons.org.uk/lodges/apollo/history/apollo.htm

Since I didn't watch Lost much I looked it up and apparently the flight number of the downed plane was 518. Is this the first number?

Wow string!! Can't believe I didn't think of that for first number but there are actually two possibilities:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Oceanic flight 815 and
Ajira flight 316

Also FFEY-T worded things differently in his email to me about the lodge which may or may not help someone else figure out what he is speaking of
Quote:
Locke is of no concern.
We are looking for an Architect instead, one whose number is reflected upon...

F.F.E.Y.-T.

(the only lodge I could think of was a sweat lodge a character on LOST built which I thought fit with what ddl was saying about the Chippewa.)

Colaptes seen and heard

All answers from all tags are now posted, detailed and explained.
Two solved between them three tags.

We rest, briefly, for four days.

In this duration connections may be found/sought/understood more -
all emails will be replied to but no new puzzles will forthcome until,
well, until we return to 0 as Saranna would say...

Can anyone following the Saranna ARG explain to me what FFEY-T means by "until we return to 0"? I can only concentrate on one ARG at a time.

The Saranna reference is not referring to the ARG itself, but the subject matter of tarot cards. The tarot card 0 is The Fool, thus the statement could be rewritten as "until we return to Fool." More puzzles await.

same old same old

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I was at first unable to solve these questions, but perpetual attention and time explained to me many appearances which were at first enigmatic.

Ah, so it is...

Thanks everyone who has communicated with me and well done ddl. I was *makes gesture with hand* THIS close to the What? answer. Just one number the wrong way round Rolling Eyes

Looking forward to the next puzzles and my double edged prize.

Hardest part for me in Chapter 2 was
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the Mayan number on the rope, the fact it was 3 glyphs not four
and that threw me again and again until ddl basically jumped up and down and pointed us in the right direction!

I wish I had time to collate info in the wiki-place...

Ah well, we did our best.

Just in case anybody hasn't seen this yet, when I looked up the answers for the first set, I found this very interesting article about them. I'm not sure I would have been able to find this from the individual clues without knowing the answer, but, hey.
