That seems like a good idea, seeing as this is the second chapter and thus separate. Part of me doesn't want to make a new thread, just to see how big this one gets...

If we were to make a new thread what would we call it? The PM hasn't named either chapter, let alone the game.

The name of the Chapter is Two, Two is the name of the Chapter, not One shall it be called neither Three but Two.

Sorry I appear to be badly misquoting Monty Python.

I dunno, if a new thread is started then this thread will drop and be lost in time. It would be cool to see how big it gets.

All right then. Shall we make a second thread?

Also, any ideas on the verse. Not sure what to do with it. Tried a few Vignere, but nothing so far.

1. Yeah, why not eh. See you there. Can someone who knows this site a bit better than me make a new thread and link it here please? I don't really know the etiquette of this place as this my first and only ARG to date.

2. Yeah, cipher is breaking me at the moment, I am kinda tired though.

I'll work on making a new thread. Should we make the first post a summary or just link here?

Short summary would be cool ddl to catch new ppl up if you can manage it. I would do that except I accidentally deleted my entire docs folder 3 or 4 weeks ago including all my files on FFEY-t. It will be interesting to see how much I can remember without them.

There seems to be an erroneous "y" in the middle but the code translates to this:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There came a voice from over the Sea,
And with great power it forth led me
To walk in the visions of Poesy

which is from the first verse of The Mask of Anarchy by P.B. Shelley.

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-mask-of-anarchy/

As to the meaning of the day, I 'unno. I have still to read the whole poem as it's looong, but very good. The first line is "as I lay asleep in Italy"...

Also a tweet:

@DarkenendDL Thank you - Fath*r has said this will b* mor* chall*nging - mor* involving... it will n**d t*amwork and guil* at th* sam* tim*!

so I have roped my flatmate in on the case Laughing

That's what I got as well. What date did this start on again?

The Mask of Anarchy was written "on the occasion of the massacre carried out by the British Government at Peterloo, Manchester 1819"
http://www.artofeurope.com/shelley/she5.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peterloo_Massacre

Unfortunately it's not that simple, as the Massacre took place on August 16.

EDIT: To the best of my abilities----

I can start a new thread later tonight.

Fantastic, bravo.

On the poem/date:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From wiki: "On 26 June 1814, Mary Godwin declared her love for Percy at Mary Wollstonecraft's (her mother, who died when she was 11 days old) graveside in the cemetery of St Pancras Old Church"

There are ties with the Peterloo incident as the article claims Wollstonecraft was an advocate of women's rights and married the philosopher William Godwin, one of the forefathers of the anarchist movement. The march/rally in Manchester that turned violent was populated by reformists, anarchists and suffragette types.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Wollstonecraft

That's as far as I have got at the moment...
