Knife

Ok. So we know the knife J had went missing when he saw Masky at the house. Then, we see who we think may be Masky in the woods (tothepark) with what may be a knife in his pocket. Now we see TiMasky with a knife. Same Masky? Same knife?

Here are screenshots:

Good grief I am such a pinko commie anti-violence wuss. I can usually tolerate violence in movies, but I sat there with a huge "D:" face after Alex picked up that rock and cringed so hard when Tim screamed. Holy Jesus. This entry really, really made me squirm, and that's not an easy thing for works of fiction to do.

So yeah. Great work with this one, MH crew. Very Happy

That aside, Alex really seems like he's lost it. The way he was presented in the first season made him seem like even raising his voice was out of character for him, and now he's trying to kill/maim people who are tied up and defenseless? By crushing them with rocks?

And now I'm going to take part in uncharacteristic speculation.

I don't believe it was a blow to the knee. The "he's not going to follow us" line doesn't convince me of that. I think it was an at least semi-successful blow to the head.

Here's where I'm coming from: I showed entry 33 to my friend, who walks with a permanent limp and thus Knows Her Shit About Limps, and she insists that he wasn't limping, but did agreed with me that he looked disoriented.

I'm tempted to believe her; when I first watched entry 33, before reading the "limp" comments here, I thought Masky seemed disoriented as soon as he entered the room. From what I can see, he charges at Jay, then takes a second to get it together while leaning against the wall, then takes a badly-aimed slap at Jay, then chases after him while hobbling along and clutching the wall and trying not to fall down. He seems disoriented throughout the whole scene to me, and that could be the result of a blow to the head.

Tim was squirming an awful lot in this entry; it's possible that he managed to avoid the brunt of the blow, which did some damage but didn't actually kill him. It clearly didn't kill him, anyway, we heard him scream *cringes again*. Jay presumably stopped a second attempt, but the first did its damage and now he's got some sort of brain trauma. This would make more sense if it were a recent event, though brain trauma can take a long time to heal (especially if your head is already borked by a tall bloke in a suit).

Or maybe Tim died and was brought back as a zombie to finish his job. Who knows. Very Happy

No, probably not. Pocket knives aren't exactly a rarity in the South.

Does anybody else feel like the series is getting close to the end? Sure, everyone knew that Masky was Tim, but the fact that it is revealed in an entry makes me think that it is one of those groundbreaking-end-of-the-show moments. I really hope it isn't, though.

Watch it again. The reason why Jay didnt acknowledge Alex was because Alex motioned for him to be quiet, then pointed to the room Tim was in.

I hope not. It seems he has just started going through the series of tapes and there is a lot to still be resolved. Even if Masky goes down, he was only a secondary character of interest compared to Slenderman who we still know next to nothing about or have any clue how to deal with.

So, has anyone asked the question of how did Alex know Tim was in the house?

I'm going to have to agree. You really don't introduce a new character close to the end of the series (Jessica) and things are just starting to heat up. Also, let's give these guys a bit of credit, they're creative guys, and they'll keep coming up with ideas as long as they want to.

I really hope the whole debate on whether or not Alex and Jay met up previously or reunited this episode is cleared up in a later entry, or I'm going to be forever confused D:

Wow, this is a fast thread.

To everyone that responded to my post: Yeah, I think you're right. ...That's about all I have to say.

By the way, when I first watched the video this morning at 6 AM I saw something that stuck with me. Did anybody else notice the mysterious blue folder that is on that burned shelf? I'm almost positive that wasn't there before. I wonder what's in it, and why Jay didn't see it. EDIT: Actually, I think he would've noticed it eventually, and he only didn't because Alex appeared soon after.
