Forget I said anything.

Anways, theory times.

1) Jay stopped Alex by disarming him/knocking him out (Possible link to Fragments?) and Tim is still alive but possibly wounded.

2) Jay stopped Alex by killing him (Again, possible link to Fragments?) and Tim is still alive, but again, possibly wounded.

3) Alex succeeded in wounding Tim, Alex and Jay fought and separated.

4) Alex succeeded in killing Tim, but Tim was brought back by the operator/someone else, Alex and Jay may or may not have separated.

All in all though, we wanted something substantial, and bloody hell did we get it. Loved this entry to bits.

My interpretation of the ending:

Alex broke Tim's leg with that huge-ass rock, and 7 months later, it's had time to heal (albeit badly, because I can't see Tim going to a doctor in his...condition). This is why he's limping in Entry 33.

also, if during the 7mos masky was unmasked, why did he remask himself in 33 (assuming that that masky was tim). he must have known jay had memory loss

After seeing this, my completely crazy new theories on the motivations of the characters:

I think The Ark could be the source of The Operator's power. Tim wants to harness it for himself. Meanwhile, Alex is trying to destroy The Operator, and most likely The Ark.

Okay, so, thoughts - Alex's behavior post-the original tapes has always been off to me. He seemed utterly detached in the footage sent to Jay at the end of Season 1 and here still he seems a manipulator to me. Could he have lured Jay there to enlist him?

I think Tim/TTA(?) is still pretty much a SM toady personally but I also think the jump cut in the footage and the distortion over Tim's scream may indicate that SM arrived and intervened before Alex could kill Tim - thereby necessitating the disappearance of the remaining footage.

I think Alex is either dead or has become another Masky.
