Ya fires have become a bit of a theme in MH - Brian's painting, Jay's apartment, the burned out basement, now this. Not sure what it means but there it is.

Anyway I wanted to talk about the knife

I might have found something. Regarding the video "Program", it's been said that the binary code spells "YAMA", but no one really agrees on what it means. Someone else pointed out that the "upside-down s" in the left side of the video may actually be the Greek letter stigma (ϛ). On a whim, I decided to take the letters and transliterate them into similar sounding letters in Greek, to see if it said anything new. Nothing came of it. Then I remembered the suggestion that the code might have to be read upside-down, because the key to "Program", "Advocate", flashes the message "tick tock" upside-down. When you turn "Y" on its head, it reads the letter "lambda" (λ). Now the message reads "λαμα", which according to GoogleTranslate (though not BabelFish) means "BLADE". I think this may be the real deal, because it actually would relate to the rest of the video.

Does this relate do you think? Is it the knife J lost when he returned to Brian's house in Entry 18? And did we figure out who's blood it is that's on the knife?

Sorry I only went back about 10 pages to see if there was any knife discussion, but we seem to have derailed a bit here with the Operator having tea and stuff.

We've established that the knife is very likely the one Jay lost, and that the blood on the knife is Alex's from the cut on his arm that Timasky gave him when he charged out.

It's nice to think that we've finally figured out what that video means. Do you think it's related to the 'BLEED MORE' message from one of the other videos?

Somebody needs to draw this.

"Now, Tim. One should always dress as a gentleman when stalking film students!"
"Whatevah you say, Pwofessah!"

This seriously made me lawl. Someone does need to draw this.

Totally ranted about it. About thirty pages <-- that way.

Jay, No.
Alex, possibly.

We probably won't find out for sure until we get another video from TTA.

Since he (from the screenshot that was shown to me a few pages back) was holding the knife point-down in his fist when he stepped into view, that leads me to believe he may have actually intended to bury it in somebody's back while they were checking out that blue folder. Unless you're some sort of highly-trained close-quarters combatant, you'd want to hold a knife point-up in order to be able to swing it more freely.

Tim doesn't really strike me as a highly-trained close-quarters combatant. He more strikes me as a guy who gets maglite'd by a film student in a hotel room. Wink

Unfortunately, this is undoubtedly the correct assumption... I doubt we'll get ANY answers unless they're show to us.

For all we know, Masky was going to hold J hostage to make Alex comply with his demands.

Sorry I can't be more exact, broken hand and all.

I find it pretty interesting that Alex requested the camera be turned off. This wouldn't be particularily fascinating considering any normal person wouldn't want to be filmed while committing the crime, but paired with entry 26's insistance that Amy stop using the camera that she found and how this all started with Alex wanting to disassociate with his media.
I'm not in one camp or the other right now, but if Alex and Jay had encountered eachother before this trip, Alex's desire to not be filmed could be why we haven't seen their first encounter.

Something else I find interesting is that in entry 33 Jay is interupted before entering the room he finds Tim in in this entry. It's possible the noise in 33 was meant to be a distraction. And even in this entry Tim may have been trying to use his own self as bait to keep Jay from entering. I'm very intrigued to find what's in that room. Also, if the room IS significant, could be the answer to how Alex 'knew' Tim was there.

Final speculation of mine is that, as someone pointed out waaaay early in the forum, is how Tim immediately starts coughing when the mask is removed. Mask may not be necessarily for protecting identity, but as a protection against slenderman himself, providing for why he continues to wear it in 33.

An addition to that last point, Tim doesn't speak or grunt or make any vocalizations at all while in the mask, and as soon as it's taken off, he coughs and screams in pain. I believe this is proof that the mask adds another personality.

Does anyone know what Alex says right when he is about to hit Tim with the rock? It sounds to me like 'Give me the ____!'
At first, I thought he said 'Give me the phone!' but I highly doubt it's that.
Also, this means Alex was travelling with Jay. There is NO WAY they were at the same place at the same time conveniently. Also, Jay didn't flip out, like he may have if he saw Alex for the first time in awhile.

Except for y'know... when he growls "No!" through gritted teeth when Jay tries to take his mask after he has that seizure in entry 18.
