Also this is pure specualtion but, a lot of the titles found in the craigslist ad tie in with Super 8 (sort of)
1. #5 moby dick - Beast of a whale? Like the monster/alien in super 8?
2. #7 pirates - Dont know this 1
3. #9 les miserables- Dont know this 1
4. #1 story of dogs - The picture of the lost dogs?
5. #6 FBI - FBI get involved to sort out monster/alien
6. #4 railroad - obvious

In fact the number #4 #5 #6, go in order, maybe this is the order of the film
They kind of tie in to the pictures we found in the TV Spot

But this ad could mean nothing lol

Alright.. umm now this is starting to make too much sense..

Certainly the combo of titles are making too much connection.

MOBY: umm obvious connection look inside to see trogl

PIRATES: umm obviously Gobment trying to pillage the source alien info

LES MISRABLES: Alot goign on here but main story is about a ex-convict, Jean Valjean (known by his prison number, 24601), who becomes a force for good in the world, but cannot escape his dark past.

This is obviously MR MINKER on the run from the Gobment, he was involved with this misuse of aliens or alien technology and tried to release it or help it but is now on the run.

STORY OF DOGS: yes.. its the poster

FBI: or three dot triangle...wait that be TDT..anyways. Mo...Gobment

RAILROAD: can you say SMACK IN THE FACE?

Alrighty ... they " ARG people" better throw our asses a bone here.. or the next headline your gonna see is...

" NY woman harasses all West Virgina residents that have posted on Craigslist"

...Jane goes to buy stronger tin foil

PS EDIT... OMFG 24601 IS VIRGINA....TWITCH

24601.COM leads to a subliminalmessages.com

check this out
http://www.subliminalmessages.com/plane_charter_1b.htm

EDIT: Actually ignore that its stupid

RE: Craigslist Comics

OK - so I called again. A woman answered and said her husband was the one selling the comics and he was at work - driving. She gave me his cell phone number. I had a passing moment of sanity where I considered NOT calling him. (It was slightly longer than a nanosecond.) Then I called him.

He said he was selling the comics for a friend. I asked him if his friend's collection included any Captain Coop adventures. He didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about and said he was on the road but would be back home later where he had an updated list of titles. I thought the reasonable thing would be to just say - forget about it. But who needs reason at a time like this? So now I'm expecting a call this evening regarding his friend's long list of comics, which he'd prefer to sell as a group.

I might have tried to stop him from calling back - but when he said he was on the road, he said he was making a delivery in Beckley. When he calls, I'll ask him if he knows the Minker family.

So weird if this isnt part of the ARG because it has so many similarities. But i guess if it isnt we should be focusing on the Classics Illustrated series anyway

Just spoke to the man again - a very, very, very nice man - but definitely OOG. I asked him if he knows a Josh Minker - he doesn't. I realized he didn't have anything to do with the ARG and felt like I owed him an explanation about why I really called. I tried. He wished me luck finding "whatever it is you're looking for," and I thanked him for being so nice.

Oh well - another lead bites the dust.

Rocket;

I would have asked the person if his name was Fred--Josh's best friend--too bad it didn't work out.

I can't help but think that "Fred" should fit in here somewhere. Confused

Team... you are awesome!

I think this is totally exemplifying the teamwork that makes up the Twin Teamwork fleet! I've been busy all day, so I just was able to sit down and catch up on the happenings in the "WV Craigslist Caper" since last night... It is incredible how this craigslist lead was mirroring parts of this ARG.... Maybe I need some of that foil after all, Jane...
But, thanks to you guys, it was a fun sidetrack... Thanks for your follow up on the calling, Rocket.

I continued with the D-12 idea and found out that it is a form of web coding for audio-visual files. The link above discusses the use of CODEC and compression of MPEG files. This may be off base but thinking about what Mysterio wants Josh to do, this may be useful.... maybe. ? If Josh is to upload a copy of his comic book then this idea is solid. But how do we use this information is beyond me. But I did find other allusions to D12 coding for AV files elsewhere on the web.

Hmm...Fred as in Fred Flinstone famous caveman (or should I say TROGL)!
Too late an evil kladrog has already abducted and cloned him.

(From a funny story - Proof Hanna-Barbera Rules the World at http://yowpyowp.blogspot.com/2010/10/proof-hanna-barbera-rules-world.html )

Yep - too many coincidences for me. I'm wild-goose-chase-conspiracy-theory-overspeculated out! I need a new hat too. Do you think this one will be powerful enough?

Just wanted to point something out, may or may not be tied in, but it's an interesting coincidence.

Minolta made a Super 8 camera called "Autopak D12".

http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Minolta_Autopak-8_D_12

Haven't looked into it further, as it's time for bed Smile
