I love these puzzles! I've finished all the available theorems and am working on the seals. I'm thankful for the ones that say you can only get them on a certain day, so I don't wind up wasting so much time on those, but some of these other ones are simply eluding me. I've read through this post, making mental notes for recursion but I have yet to find the actual puzzle.

Then there are others that I don't even know where to begin to start looking and it seems like most of you all found it without any problem as there is minimal if any mention of it!

Keep up the great work and hopefully I'll be able to lend some help as this thread has already helped me!

next to nothing

Screen shots... Cross referencing the letters bordering the spaces. I'm getting nowhere. Anyone got any thing which may point me in the right direction for Next to Nothing?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The funny characters kinda look like regular letters don't you think?
So I figured it out and put the letters in order,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But what is the special character?

You're looking at the right ones, now just look at the right ones.

recursion
help! (again)

So I've gotten the first box in recursion solved, but I have no idea what to put into the next one. Help?

Videbimus Lumen
problems...

I could use some specific help on this puzzle. I think I'm missing something basic.

Here's what I know:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I have the names from the facade of Butler Library and I've tried extracting every variation of letters from them based on the numbers that are part of the map image. I've also tried rearranging the names in the order suggested by the front part of the puzzle (with the musical clue), to no avail. But I'm convinced that the lyric "not one man but two" plays into this and I have had no luck. There are an even number of letters so you could take the list of names and cut it in two or add it together but doing so yields nothing I can see. A gentle nudge? I'm sure it's obvious once you know it, but I've just about exhausted what I can try.

The answer is 8 letters; try a simpler method.

Thanks

Thanks! That nudge was all I needed to try something I overlooked.

how about if you take your laptop with you?

Ok, I am really thick but I STILL can't find/get the Traveler seal! Bang Head

I got the Not Found, Code, Hacker but this one continues to elude me!

Traveling somewhere can get you the seal... but it's not the only way. Think about how and why it could possibly work that you would get this seal by going somewhere else.

Anyone have a clue what the criteria are for "Theorem Champ/Rookie/Veteran/Expert"?
I'm guessing it's for solving non-practice theorems, since I got 3 and none of the seals and no-one has the Expert seal yet. Veteran has been attained though, so it has to be for 11 or less...
Also, it would be interesting to know how many different-day visits are necessary for Patron/Regular. Frequenter is for 5.

Champ = First to solve any Theorem (Just guessing, here)
Rookie = Solve 5 Theorems
Veteran = Solve 10 Theorems
Expert = I'm guessing 25 Theorems solved

Frequenter = 5 Visits on different days
Patron = 10 " "
Regular = 25 " "
