Something about transferring information to potentially lots of people.

But seriously, I suppose this could be something important to the series. Maybe the Operator works by or gains power the more people know about him? Not sure I am ready to believe it, but it's possible.

The tulpa/thoughtform idea would seem to support that.

I've not been on these forums that long, but have been following only Marble Hornets since about May (that's right, I joined right after the end of series 1 and had to wait AGES for an update). I do not know that idea. Explain, please?

Hunter: No no, definitely my palm, MY face! I seriously hadn't even thought of Youtube, but that's the glaringly obvious connection. It's the medium through which Marble Hornets is presented, our window into this entire reality. So maybe it's something to do with our participation? Or maybe it's all supposed to point out how Jay's and TTA's Youtube uploads allow so many people (possibly one or a few in particular) access to very important information. Maybe somebody's watching who we haven't heard from in a long time or at all. Maybe it's to remind us that everything we know (or can decode or guess), all the others (Brian and Seth if they're still alive, Alex and Jessica wherever they are, etc...) potentially have the same info, even if they've had their memories wiped like Jay did.

I'm starting to hope this is true. Surprised

Maybe wherever Brian, Seth and Sarah are, they're watching these videos. Maybe Alex is as well unless he's dead at the moment (poor phrasing, like he might resurrect). I have no idea where Jessica could have gone, so I don't if she'll be able to, but maybe.

Well I don't know about Sarah and Seth, but I think Brian is too grown up for all this Youtube nonsense.

Maybe it's the town that's grown up?

May I make a request to TheRelicRetard to add the decoded video to the OP for easier navigation?

Jeez, I got wiped out and crashed after saving this file.

Checking it again, I'm actually hearing "Do you know me?" Either one, we pretty much got the audio done.

As for speculation, I think TTA is just liking that Jay is drowning in information. This does put yet another layer on whether he's a friend or foe.

Honestly, the whole thing with the 7 month blackout kind of reminds me of the story of the guy who had 3 wishes, and his second wish was to forget everything, and his third wish was to remember.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that's from a game.

Planescape: Torment. I'm replaying it at the moment and just got past that part.

a tulpa is something that literally comes into physical being by the idea of the thing spreading around and becoming popular. like the slender man idea (i'm talking OOG right now.)

many consider him a tulpa because the SA forums spread him around so much. we all know he didn't emerge from nowhere. he literally came from a "create scary monsters!" competition. but the fact that the idea of him is propagating itself all around the internet makes it easier for us to believe he's real.

consequently many slendyargs use the tulpa idea to explain why slendy is there in the first place. (origin of simulation)

The more exposure = more strength theory is quite old but it's good to see these old ideas find new relevance and meaning

I dunno, the "know" bit is so muffled it could be anything. I kind of hear it as "I will always find you".

EDIT: Disregard, just heard the cleaned up versions.

I think I got it right.
