Audio Help
Because i'm a newfag

Just got Audicity and was wondering how to download the audio from YouTube videos. Any suggestions?

Listen to Youtube is a good page ( http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ ), just watch for ADs on there - they're tricksy. Also, the audio quality can be iffy.

Also, if you have the ability to download the videos (whether you use a Chrome/Firefox plugin or a site like [url]keepmyvid.com[/url]) MPEG Streamclip does a great job of converting video to audio in high quality.

Do you know of any Chrome plugins that would work?

You can also set Audacity to record Stereo Mix, meaning that once you hit record, it'll grab audio that your computer plays. So set to Stereo Mix,press record in Audacity, hit play on the YouTube video, watch and wait for the clip to finish, end recording.

There you go.
