Good job!
I don't know why but Tor2Web never worked for me, but I have the program used for the network installed now so I can visit them thank goodness.
I'm sending an email, but in a little bit more formal manner. Let's see how that goes.

Nice one, Bruce. I've also sent an email along a similar vein.

No response yet, but no bounce either; I suppose we'll find out something one way or another today, perhaps, unless this is indeed legitimate, in which case I may have just tipped off a suspicious individual about CIA surveillance... *glances over shoulders nervously*
mhm.

Well, the address was the only lead we had. I think its understandable that we contacted him.

I came across some information that may be of use to you. But I need some information from you. Maybe we can make a trade.

What information do you think you need?
I would like to know about Candy's investigation.

yep... from zrfather

Is this some kind of joke? Did Candy put you up to this?
I'm not one for interaction-heavy args, so I'll be watching for narrative

You couldn't possibly have information valuable enough for me to tell you that.
(me)If the simple question of whom you are investigating is such a secret, Then I am thoroughly convinced that you would want to know who knows about your investigation and who else is watching.

Well at least I didn't get accused for staging a joke.
I actually went through the approach of being a fellow agent.
Interesting response though.
This was my email:
Quote:
I don't know if Candy has reported into you yet sir. I'm not exactly how it happened, but the CIA did seem to get some of the messages Candy and ZiAcquaintance sent each other. For the moment it looks like they have passed them over as not important. I am still concerned on Candy's operantional status since we now have that, and from what i've heard there are unconfirmed reports coming from my sources that evans getting a bit touchy. I will keep monitoring my moles in the CIA, and shall get back to you if they should get more serious on the messages.
Cheesy I know. Just viewed the response:
Quote:
I don't see why the CIA would be watching us, Mr. Cooper.
I sent a email back. Hopefully I make a breakthrough there.
Edit 1: Bingo. I basically sent an email that said this
Quote:
I never said they were exactly watching. I said they had their hand's on your message. If that is so then there is a possibility they will decode them. That may just raise some eyebrows. Thus they may look further into the issue. I am only looking out for our best interest, and keeping an eye on where different areas where trouble could come from sees like an appropiate response to a that kind of situation. So I will keep an eye on things. If they should start watching I will inform you further. Does that not sound like a sound idea sir?
The response to me:
Quote:
It's fair enough. Why the email address change? And why have you started typing so oddly?
Now I wonder if i'm being mistaken for someone.

Good work, Cherrytree. Maybe suggest the change in address and typing mannerisms as a means of evading observation or suspicion?

I was already thinking along those lines.
This is what I sent:
Quote:
I'm sorry if the address change, and writing style has put you off sir. The address change was a little bit of added safety just in case of email accounts being tracked. While this account shall be my main of communication with you until I can ascertain the other email is not in danger. I'm sorry about the sudden shift in typing. I'm happy to say if it's put you off then it should put anyone off who would or could watch. I'm sorry for the little added precautions sir. I shall shift to what I do normal if I can ascertain that everything has quited down.
Whoever i've been mistaken for i'll bite.
The response:
Quote:
There's no need to be so formal. Have you heard from ZIAcquaintance? Candy sent a message to him a while ago and expected an immediate reply, but he's yet to update his page.
I thought he meant the Tor servers, but I can't gain access to them for some reason. If anyone can check them that would help.
