Ok, really bored at work so I've been working on "Super 8" stuff for way too long today. I'm sure it's been brought up before but I didn't find it so trout away if so. Anyhow, looking at the first map with "#F.F.S.H" and "x9.89.12.68" made me think uni-code. Well that didn't lead much of anywhere but it got me thinking encrypted message. Could this first map be a cypher-key for a one-time pad? Still trying to figure out the complete alphabet to see if it reveals anything on the 2nd map.

Yes I had the same idea about a one time pad key in the Comic Book Cipher thread.

I think either the text is from the comic book or the key, but everything I've tried so far comes up with nothing.

Well the first number has been ruled 19 not x9. But try doing a traceroute on 19.89.12.68. It gets stuck in a loop ;p

I actually put the "x" because I wasn't quite sure what the number was. I was thinking it looks kinda like a "89" which would make sense for a one-time pad cypher. 89.89.12.68 > #F.F.S.H

Although I may be just trying to force it to find something during this slooowww game.

Anyone done any encrypting using the one-time pad method?

I'd like to figure out what the numbers to alphabet would be if it were represented as 89.89.12.68 > F.F.S.H

That's the alphabet representation of those numbers.

newspaper

Wow Jane! I never even thought about the newspaper again. That's really creepy. I'm thinking you are on to something. Tighten that foil hat and keep at it.

Pass the tin foil please --- Like the old newspaper printout, I keep thinking about the Craigslist stuff - especially the horse clock. It might need new batteries. I wonder if it runs on a frequency - obviously I know nothing about clocks.

Ok -- I'll put a new layer of tin foil in my helmet now.
