[Possible Trailhead?] WB's Supernatural website

Check out http://supernatural.warnerbros.com/. It's a very well done interactive flash setup including a login/password needed for the laptops logs, AND it has certain specific links to various 'research' pages such as one for 'Wendigo' on Wikipedia. Considering the two main characters in the show are following the trail their father leaves them, wouldn't surprise me if we get to do the same.

I belive you are correct, as I have been watching this one develop for sometime now.

Here are a few links of note.

WB's Supernautural will be Firefox friendly

Yahoo's Site for the show

Enjoy

Oh, and just in case you missed it...
you could always download a bit torrent of it

From the Wikipedia:

"The new WB series Supernatural has the lead characters running into a Wendigo in episode 102. Its first airdate is September 20th, 2005."

-Yea, stragely coincidental don't ya think?

Also

Check out page 8 in the book of the back seat of the car. At the bottom of the page in red letters it says "1246 A+4" a code?

Well based on a quick review of the "Research Links", I'm going to have to say that it looks like they maybe very much OOG. However that could very well turn out to be just what they want us to think at first.

Any luck in finding a login for the blog?

ok, now I'm freaking

1246 again, no A+4. And on another page.... "Dean 35-111" ? If this isn't and ARG, then I don't know what is! (and it is quite possible that I don't know what is Smile

Well, the 35-111 was revealed in the first episode to be latitude and longitude coordinates for where they need to go next. I suspect this is at least a pseudo-ARG that parallels the show itself, which is a great idea.

That said, anyone been able to crack the blog login/password? Also, the bundle of papers in the trunk don't seem to do anything yet that I can find(might be for a future episode), the glove compartment won't open though it IS clickable, and the radio doesn't do anything as of yet. In addition, the research notes in the pad on the cars floorboard has a single blank page after all the others.

Heh. The most recent edit of the Wikipedia article was 14/09/05 from an unregisted user, and consists of adding the line "The new WB series Supernatural has the lead characters running into a Wendigo in episode 102. Its first airdate is September 20th, 2005." You'd have thought that someone have been aware of the BBC's recent Wikipedia fiasco.

A Wikipedia page was made for the character of Jamie Kane. The IP address was traced and it was found to have come from inside the BBC. The "culprit" was pressured into a confession and an apology for his actions. He turned out not to be a member of the Jamie Kane dev team, but rather a fan of the game who just happened to work for the Beeb. Slapped wrists all round for the misuse of Wikipedia, which was felt to be an unacceptable means of viral promotion.

Frankly, I'd have been more impressed if it had been a deliberate trail. Twisted Evil

I can confirm it's not moon runes or strictly eldar futhark. The closest I can get to translate is the 2nd line on the left hand page.

Most of the rest of the runes I've never seen before.

N 35, W 111

So I used terra server to get a picture of North 35 degrees, West 111 degrees (I'm assuming that its N 35 and W 111 since it dosen't give any reference of if its North/South/East/West) And I found something very very interesting. A rather large hole in the ground known as the Barringer Meteor Crater.
