 		If Alex sent Jay the text informing him when the package would arrive, that means he already knew Jay's phone number, despite not being in contact for 3 years. I feel like Alex must have been following him before that. But even so, it was quick thinking to send him a text that same day knowing precisely when the package would arrive. Could this have been planned by Alex? Maybe he planted the camera there himself, or even told Amy what to do? It wouldn't make much sense, but I can't imagine that Alex would immediately text Jay after those events.

Very, VERY true. I just don't see Alex as the one who sent that video... It doesn't feel like that's the right answer to me. And I have a feeling that since the guys DELIBERATELY left that part of the statement ambiguous, there's more to it.

Ehh...It seems unlikely that Alex would stage the entire event with Amy just to fuck with Jay.

For all we know, Alex delivered the package personally.

I'm kind of in the mindset right now that he VERY WELL COULD BE the one who sent the package.

That being said, he might very well have lied about it.

The conversation probably went something like this:

J: How did you find me?

Alex: Tim was able to hotel you were at, what room you were at, what hotel and then get a package delivered. You're not very hard to find.

But Alex... I don't know. I don't trust him anymore. I still think he used the tape to lure Tim out by luring J out.

 		Randoman96, I tend to agree more with the latter possibility of what Alex was saying. When I first heard it, it seemed to me that Alex was chiding Jay for being such an easy target for Masky. Still, I'm hesitant to doubt Jay's statement that Alex sent him the tape, even if he has a history of being unreliable...

The bigger issue is that it doesn't make sense for me that Alex would do the things TTA did. Alex wanted to forget everything. Why would he encourage Jay to explore, to go to Brian's house, to find hidden tapes? Why would he be so cryptic? The motivation makes more sense if it was TiMasky, who was clearly deranged and toying with Jay.

Could someone clarify for me why people believe entry #26 must have been sent by TTA? Couldn't Alex have sent the tape and still not be TTA?

2 things.

1) For someone to have sent the tape, they have to HAVE the tape. Meaning either it's Alex or someone took it from Alex.

2) For Alex to know the package was sent, either he watches J's vids or he sent the package.

For me, this narrows down TTA to either Tim or Alex, because I'm convinced that whoever TTA is sent the package. Either Tim was leading J to him, or Alex was baiting Tim with J.

HOWEVER, if either one of them sent it, it's unclear how the other knew where J was going. If Tim was leading him on, how did Alex know where to go? If Alex was leading J to the building, how did Tim know to go there?

WHICH MAKES ME THINK, Tim could still be a good guy. Tim could be trying to protect J from Alex. Perhaps Tim is the one who has figured out how to escape Slendy and Alex is his actual minion?

EDIT: Reading this over again makes the theory seem a bit far-fetched, but I just have this feeling that Alex is really the bad one here and that Timasky is trying to help (although in an unexplainably cryptic and creepy way. Maybe something is stopping him from being straight-foward about it?) I have too many questions on my mind.

If the video from 26 had been sent by TTA, I doubt he would have made it so.... up-front. TTA likes to TAUNT J. He would have sent a tiny portion of it overlaid with some cryptic messages and some freaky sound effects. He includes cryptic messages at the end of even his most straighforward videos (exit, return both have strangely formatted text in them.) His psychology seems like someone who likes to TAUNT J, not give him straightforward answers. The strange pieces at the beginning seem more like the effects of distortion and not deliberate editing like TTA.

I'm of the camp that Alex did send the video but is NOT indeed TTA. Of course, I don't believe TTA is TiMasky, either, so I'm part of the third-party camp.

The post office can guarantee a package to arrive overnight. So you send a text saying what day it will arrive, then send it the day before. Voila.

Probably he just had Jay's old phone number.

I agree with you. The HELP seems almost TTA-like, but not enough that I would agree with him actually being TTA. And the footage is laid out as being there before she started recording. MAYBE, just maybe you could attribute it to a rush job.
