Hello, and forst post and blah bla blah.
Now, to turn to the 'Alex = TTA' theory, I might have an idea.

We have probably all seen TiMasky in the TTA videos, and many people reasoned that this means that Alex CAN'T be TTA, but I think it's possible.
My idea is that Alex IS TTA, and edited the TTA videos, while Masky was the 'face' of the TTA account.
But why did Alex crush TiMasky's leg?
I think that somewhere along the road they got a huge argument and Alex tried to kill TiMasky, and that this is why Alex 'should have done worse'.

Thoughts?

To be fair, that's a reasonably common and plausible theory. Personally I wouldn't mind such a development happening since it retroactively paints the whole series in a new light. Remember that the whole of Season 1 unfolded under the impression that Alex had presumably washed his hands of the whole tapes business until the past/Jay/the Operator came back knocking at his door. But to find out that he had been pulling the strings behind the scenes this whole time as a co-totheark? That would be suitably mind-blowing.

Now, here I am with a small question of my own, much apologies if this had been trout'd somewhere else:

I just rewatched Entry 36 and something occurred to me: exactly how did the tape containing the Jay/Alex encounter get corrupted in such a way that it cuts off to right at end of Entry 35? It can't be the Operator's doing, maybe Masky or somebody had purposefully edited/corrupted the tape in such a way that Jay wouldn't find out about his last conversation with Alex? Or maybe Jay corrupted that last part of the tape himself? (It wouldn't be that surprising given his past Unreliable Narrator tendencies and stuff like noentry.)

In short: Can I just get some quick confirmation if the exact nature of the tape corruption separating 35 from 36 had been explained in-story somewhere?

I think J said that the camera was damged by the fall, either at the start, or on Twitter
