I was actually pretty impressed with the acting, especially on Jay/Troy's part. I think it's good to get SOME exposition, as we need some mysteries confirmed before more arise.

There are a good handful of other times in the video where the distortion skips, gets worse, darker, brighter, or any number of momentary escalations all over the video, though, including when Alex isn't in frame. Sure, there are moments where it gets worse when he is on camera (that red shit. what the fuck.), but he's also on camera for most of the distorted time. This could be just me, but I really don't see a definitive correlation.

Hahahaha, good god we're a hard-to-please community. People bitch if questions are raised, people bitch if questions are answered.

The acting wasn't the best, but it's better than it has been in other entries (particularly season 1, hurr).

Also, I'm also in the camp that believes Alex is TTA. The tip off for me is that Jay thinks that Alex was the one who sent the package at Entry 26. The beginning and end of Entry 26 had TTA-esque editing.

The Mustang in this video is the same Mustang seen in Exit. He's always driven the white Mustang.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if they all caused distortion, and it wasn't just Alex who was causing that. They were both pissed, right? Back when Jay and Jessica were yelling at one another the tape got especially fritzy when their voices were raised. Sort of like with radiation-heavy gieger counters going nuts, I wouldn't be surprised if their general state of mind pinged on the distortion that was already present.

Also enjoyed the straight-up exposition here. They've been leaving us more questions for coming up on two years. It's nice to get some payback. If the rest of the series was exposition... I don't know if I'd like it ALL to be, but it's like getting a nougat of delicious answers! I liked this! And I feel really bad for Jay. :c I want to give him a hug except that I have the feeling that he's kind of weird and nuts at this point.

What's making me lean more towards it is that, as someone else mentioned, he said "you're not hard to find".

When the hell has Jay told anyone where he is or where he's going? The only times he's done that is when he went to the house and went to the red tower. Every other time he barely tells us anything. Yet TTA knows where he is at all times.

Good god! That was awesome. And straight up answered questions, rather than posing a whole lot of new ones.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So we now know that Alex sent the tape (and has some serious disdain for poor Jay's on-the-run skills), that Tim is not dead (just crippled) and that Alex WAS stabbed.

Also that Alex is a cold mofo.

What do you figure about the distortion, guys? A lot of it, most of it really, seemed quite similar to distortion seen in Entry #24, right before Jay gets up and leaves through the mystery door in his apartment. It also didn't seem dissimilar to Admission's distortion, and the colors were doing similar things to some of the high-color distortion we've seen elsewhere. Where else have we seen that particular effect? I'm'a do a quick go-through of the entries in a bit, see if I can't figure out if there's some common thread.

It persisted as they were driving, so I can't help but think that it wasn't Operator-based. It didn't start in 35, so I doubt it was Alex, and didn't seem to be tied to anyone's emotional state or it would have started earlier too. What if it was not distortion specific to the events in the tape, but damage/distortion caused to the tape during a later Operator encounter?

I agree with this. Assuming the point at which the tape from #35 ends is the exact place that #36 starts, there doesn't seem to be any reason for the distortion to occur.

1) Since Jay's driving, The Operator probably isn't THAT close.
2) If Alex were able to cause that kind of distortion, we would have seen it in 35, not when Jay's driving.

Also, this distortion looks pretty similar to what occurred in #23, after Jay's run in with the Operator in the slender-basement.

That said, I think signs point to the distortion being caused DEFINITELY after the fact, and POSSIBLY by the Operator.

Also, I think it's interesting that while Alex doesn't have a camera, he also doesn't say anything about Jay having HIM on camera.

Perhaps pointing to the theory that the Operator is only drawn to Alex when filmed by that one specific camera?

OHMYGOD

I knew Masky had a limp...

Anyway, I don't know what to really say about this entry. It cleared up a lot of things, but then it also brought up a ton of other question such as:

How did Alex keep up with Jay and avoid Slendy? (if we're saying he's summoned by thought)
Where's Amy?
What happened to Tim?
Is Alex still being followed by the Operator at all?

and a bunch more that are running too fast through my mind to keep track.
As with the last entry, I'm REALLY getting the feeling that Alex isn't one to be trusted. Contrary to what 26 implies, he doesn't seem to need much help..

The thing is that if their emotional states alone were causing serious distortion, the camera would have gone fucking CRAZY in Entry #35 proper, especially with Tim (and his propensity for camera fuckery) around too. People were definitely not feelin' calm and cucumber in that room.

Also would hug Jay. Even if he was nuts.

But I mean, if one person can keep track of Jay, it's not a TOTAL stretch to say two people probably could have. TTA kept tabs on Jay just fine. Maybe Jay really IS awful at laying low!

Not really sure what you're replying to in my post here? I meant handful of times in this video, not in previous ones, if that's the confusion.

Alex being TTA definitely sheds an odd light onto the 'Fragments' video o_0

If Alex is TTA, then that definitely brings up a lot of answered questions, although you're right when you say it's weird Alex knows how to find Jay. Alex would either have to be working with Masky or have his own Masky mask to be TTA, if we go by Warning.
