[UPDATE] new posts on paintover [Nov 10] Yay, Texel is all right! And Random is back to using poetry generators, it seems - need Omnie to confirm
[EDIT] Sorry, this should be moved over to puzzles, I think - there is another file in there that needs to be XORed (or whatever it's called) [EDIT]
[EHSAN] I guess we'll keep it here since it's just a small puzzle that was solved in one post [/EHSAN]

From Ethan's blog:

These ley lines must lead to him. The earth is fading back from summer, even fading back from autumn, but the trail is not cold.
What could these, "ley lines" be? Is it just a typo on the part of the PMs?

Where is xnbomb? The date is now 3 days behind - in my time, Nov. 13 is almost ending, and Caesar & Co. are stuck in the 10th?

FIY, texel2.zip decodes to (using the same XOR decryption algorithm):

Miss Kinross is safe and well. She appears to be suffering from a broken right ankle and a certain amount of bruising, but is otherwise not seriously harmed and will recover in due course. There is no need to be alarmed.

Yanka... I make it the 14th here and when I saw "November 10 paintover update" iwas like huh?
And at least we now know texels gender! And now we know it wouldn't matter (as much) if she was kicked in the g_... <- jokes
What freaks the hell outta me is that Whomps are >>MEANT<< for someone??? Thats damn scary
[EDIT] ok, just read the update to Phils' 'dex. Now I underconstumble the freaky Whompage.

Finally into the seashaken downy night

Right now, I am pretending that there are Powers That Be, and I am thanking them profusely.
I am so GLAD you're back!
And, wow. Guys, take a look at that file.
texel, get home when you can. You are amazing. That's all there is to it.

i'm resting up, currently. i'm fine.
i shouldn't be fine, considering what happened, but you know, what's a broken ankle when you've just survived your very first in-person whomp?
by all rights, i should be dead, and all i can say is, how thankful am i that that thing was not meant for me? that is to say, i feel extremely sorry for whom that was meant - that was not just some ghosts, or dudes with boards out in a cornfield.
btw, i find it very curious that not only did i escape relatively unscathed, but so did my portable. mostly. unfortunately, the power supply got totally fubared (battery chamber smashed up a bit, a/c jack bent in beyond repair), so i couldn't retrieve anything off it, or tell you guys anything until now. oh boy.

My first thought: they've entirely stopped using the image clues--> directory files thing.
Why? If the spec was right that they were doing it to hide from AI, then...well, we know that Texel got in contact with AI man, who may or may not be the AI that they may or may not have been hiding from. *brain explodes*
Also (having put brain back together), can I suggest that Texel may be the girl in the pic with Jesse?

By that I'm assuming you mean the Haloween incident picture... I thought that was Random?
And yeah, it is interesting they've just gone "aww, bugger it" and started posting openly. Ceasars confession was the last of the hidden posts...

I'm sorry, it's late, you lost me...what Halloween incident picture? I was referring to the pic on the CDs of Jesse and the girl.

Whoops! THAT picture! heh-heh...
I'd crossed wires with the fact that C and Random were sighted by Beth when she first met AI man and.. aww buggrit... I'm confused and disoriented. This has to be payback for how quickly 'thrax and Bri, and xnbomb and chancesend solved the tapestry and the Texel posts... bloody PMs...
I'm so glad this one is actually happening while I'm still at work!

I'm pretty sure this has been created using the Dylan Thomas poetry generator found here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/dylanthomas/rpg/
Words like downy, nannygoats, fishwife and seashaken are all in Dylan Thomas poems...

i think i like the textel and ceaser plot bubble
but you would guess by his demeanor that he was extremely happy to see textel alright. but this is all still speculation untill we can properly place the two together.
yet i see something more happening in the future to jeapordize the group again
could we possibly hear from scratch again?

Yeah, in the past, Texel has done the googlism thing "in full"... (see the old hacker posts). This is just sort of keeping with the "style" of her previous messages, while at the same time telling everyone she's ok.
