The train wreck happened in 1979, so I'm guessing that everything else happened soon after that. Could that be how Rocket Poppeteers ties in? It got destroyed by whatever it was that escaped the train wreck soon after in the spring of 1980?

@Rocket Mountaineer
I think we shall have a close view of Cherry Brain Blast, since it is defined as favourite by Donald Frostsky. Perhaps is there some hints or hidden signs?

For reference, Cherry Brain Blast

I tried to hit "space" ("solutions to the toughtest space problems"), but nothing remarcable happened. I mean, in LOST ARG "Dharma Wants You" there was also a flash quiz about space, and you could cheat it, hitting the "space"-key...

@gorbok

Yes, that could fit chronologically... I know, it's wild speculation, but perhaps, since they wrote

Rocket Poppeteers Legacy wrote:
In the spring of 1980, after an unfortunate incident at the factory, the Frostskys decided to close the doors of Rocker Poppeteers and focus on raising their family. The factories were all shuttered, machines intact, and the business quietly slipped from the public eye.

So, something go out of control. Or somebody? May it be, they used some alien support for their factory? And may be this alien supporter was even part of the Frostsky family?..

I wondered about this because of the looks of some of the hands in the drawings. It could just be the style of the artist, but even in the pictures that were spliced into the trailer, there seems to be a thing with hands that don't look quite normal.

Sorry if this is old news, but on the ingredients list of the Sonic Strength Fleet Lime there is an ingredient that links to Cloverfield.

Kaitei No Mitsu

Translates to Seabed's Nectar which is an ingredient used in Slusho !

Sorry for repeating, maybe this will make up for it, a sheet of all the flavor information in one place.

Just wanted to add something about the "factory incident". In the LA Times interview with J.J. shortly after the Super Bowl he mentions this:

"Super 8 has a similar backbeat approach to heartache (as E.T.). The film begins with a small-town factory death that is very much of the real world."
"A boy who's lost his mother and the man who's lost his wife."

I recognize that Minot is in North Dakota and not Ohio where the film takes place but perhaps Joel Courtney's character loses his mother as the result of a factory incident and then his father and he relocate to Ohio. It would fall in line with the idea of displacement, heartache, and feeling "alien" all of which J.J. mentions in the article.
Perhaps this is the relation of RP to the movie?

A death at a factory would certainly be grounds to close it down.

(Although I also recognize that the incident could have happened at the Lillian Steel Co. factory.)

Oh, this sounds reasonable. Perhaps is Rocket Poppeteer involved in very narrow way here?

You could be right there, but the kid in the film's father is the deputy sheriff, so i dont know how he would get to that possision so fast (but it is a movie)

But im quite sure you are right, because just before the new trailer is released they tell this info about RP? Which means they might have something in the trailer about this, so we know whats going on..
Also people were saying that the coloured images released (in the TV Spot) were stills from the upcoming trailer, some of those might be of the RP factory exploding.

Why no S?

Wonder if the missing 's' in Frostky's (should be Frostsky's) is intentional here:

If it is - I wonder what it means.

I noticed that too, but then thought about the missing "i" in the snail-mailed certificates--they corrected that in the pdf'd versions.

I don't know, we had a missing "i" and now an "s"--it "is" what it "is" perhaps.

Anyone else having trouble signing up on the site? I tried to sign my wife up in case there is any swag, and it won't submit the application (first part)... thankfully I'm in.
