I don't think there's any chance it's OOG given the connections, it was possibly just registered before they knew what to do with it.

Well... this does lead me back to the project camelot info..

I forget who.. will find it later.. but there was discussion about how they utilize small nuclear explosions and run some kind of wire system to the pits to harness the energy of the blast.. there were some pictures from google earth once, unless someone else can find it ill look later.

ps its not the spine of the book its the BINDER Wink got to use it now we know where to connect them

Yes, I hope, the meta explanation for so earlier creation of the domain were just: JJ Abrams or ARG teams, who he engages, created already 2008 some random domains, and now they use the pool of created domains with some link to it.

[wild speculation]
Since the domain was created 2008, in the time Cloverfield was already shown, but Kishin manga was published in Japan, there was this "Gods vestige" thing. Which could give people an idea to register some cool "vestige" themed sites, with anagram appended (like vitas relic = vestige of life).
[/wild speculation]

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And everybody here, who did ARGs and grassroots on their own, will admit the high grade of authenticity such earlier registered domain has Wink

Anyway, to check the whois data of the domains I recommend this German tool: http://www.gulli.com/internet/tools/net/whois
It shows pretty many data of the domans, much more than another whois systems.

For me there's difference between "Coop" /ku:p/ and "Cupe". /kjuːp/
But I'm not native English speaker, so perhaps I'm wrong.

Anyway, I am here again with anagramms.

I am English, but the problem with this language is there aren't many guaranteed rules on how to pronounce words, especially Surnames!
kjuːp is what I would expect, but the similarity is interesting.

Her first post is January 14th, so it was posted a month or so before the internet banner was found. I hope it is in game. Very Happy

Great work on the progress, everyone!

Been away for a bit so I'm catching up. Didn't see this mentioned in the topic so far, so I'm adding it for consideration in relation to the "engine1912" user writing about Dr. Leyda Cupe:

The unusual combo of 'engine' and '1912' sparked an idea in my head, so I poked around. Could there be a chance that the talk of alternative energy sources might be related to zero-point energy — specifically the theory of "blackbody" radiation proposed by Max Planck in 1912, which according to one source "marked the birth of the concept of zero-point energy"?

Niels Bohr also developed theories on atomic orbital structure in 1912, and Frederick Soddy wrote a very influential book Matter and Energy the same year about radioactive elements. Bohr later worked on the Los Alamos 'Manhattan Project' where he had great concerns about the nuclear arms race (Cold War era of RP/Red Cosmo?) and later advocated the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

I'm not making any specific connections as ARG clues, but 1912 (or so) seemed like a big year for developments in exploring aspects of nuclear/atomic energy, radiation and possible theories of zero-point energy. If nothing else, these remain consistent with our first STIES clue of the newspaper articles on Kennedy's nuclear test ban speech as an ongoing topic.

I don't see how to piece any of it together directly yet for ARG purposes, but perhaps it may prove a springboard for a truly useful clue if some of the big brains at uF get a hold of it?

Tritium

Tritium is relatively rare isotope of hydrogen produced during a nuclear reaction. During nuclear testing it would have been released into the atmosphere where it would combine with Oxygen to form heavy water. This heavy water is used to radiometrically date and trace ground water, which is often done in caves. It also has a very energetic reaction when it contacts deuterium.

Perhaps a new molecule or life form containing tritium was discovered in a cave?

Tritium sounds great.

Awesome. This is nice explainment for engine1912, and I am more and more convinced, it's fully IG.
