Is this a name we've heard before? I couldn't find it in any search results... Does that name sound Greek? And what's with the "James?" at the end?

Dimitri Moraitopoulos is one of the staff associated with The Aquapolis.

Heh, as a general rule, anything with "lidis" or "opoulos" on the end is Greek.
Well, as an obvious observation, maybe Ormond thinks that Dimitri Moraitopoulos is James Avery? That's my first impression. Or maybe this Dimitri character knows something about James or has some important connection with James. I'm sure we'll find out soon.

I don't remember seeing the name anywhere either...I'm sure it's Aquapolis-related (heh) but can't seem to find it anywhere...niobexrev (or anyone else), where exactly have we seen it before?
I'm leaning toward the idea that Ormond plans to question Dimitri about Avery, since we know he's investigating the disappearance. So what could the Aquapolis have to do with it? I hadn't made any connection previously. Maybe whatever it was that Avery knew too much about had to do with the Aquapolis AI? I suppose this might be resolved when we figure out what Labyrinth and Gorgon is, and whether one of them relates to the Aquapolis security system.
Gah, this is driving me crazy, not knowing what's going on... I'm used to reading novels in several days and watching movies in two hours...how long has this plot been unraveling? A month? Heh, I just realized that, it's the ARG's 1 month anniversary! Yay... And these things could last, what, six months or so? Aaahhh...can't wait that long!

This site lists the names of characters involved/mentioned in the game, and it looks to be pretty up-to-date. Dimitri is not in there. I don't think we've seen that name before.

I was thinking much the same, but a quick search of the Aquapolis news page brings up Andreus Markopoulos and Georgious Kasoulos. I think my brain was confusing the first name with the new one (Dimitri Moraitopoulos).

Funny this...
I did a search on Moraitopoulos because it didn't look quite 'right' to me, but it is a quite common Greek name judging from the number of Google hits. There was one hit that said "Dmitri's surnames". Now Dmitri is also a very common Greek name, so it isn't that strange to find a site with a lot of surnames for Dmitri, including Moraitopoulos, see here .
There's not much known about this fellow, except his e-mailaddress, but after a quick glance I don't think this site contains anything game-related. A thing that startled me for a second though was a popup-commercial for Undertone Hosting

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking Pinky?"
"auehaeuh Yeah Brain, do you really think Chesse Burgers should have less Mayo and more Katchup?"
"No Pinky, I'm thinking that this ARG is going too far, and maybe it could pass Nov. 5th with it's events, but it still doesn't make sense, since there is no other movie/event with the same type of THEME. And someone's gotta be spending hell lotta money with this game. A coulpe of hundreds of Phonecalls, e-mail/website hosting, good servers to host this thing and be "Hacker Proof", creative people to write stuff as in Dina's site for example and people with awsome searching skills, and other stuff... that really costs money... something/someone big is behind all this... no doubt..."

Dimitri is the Greek equivalent of Jim/James.

Why do you think that? I'm Russian, and a lot of our names are borrowed from the Greeks, one of which is Dimitri. I have never heard it being equated to James

My brother-in-law's name is Dimitris. We call him Jim. My wife said many guys with the name use Jim as Americanized name.

The only thing I could find on Dimitri is:
"Dimitri -- Male -- Greek -- from demeter, goddess of the harvest"
The Russian version is Dimitrios, and means "Earth lover"
(Found HERE )
This guy is obviously Greek, and has to have something to do with the Aquapolis.
