About the new twitpic ^^ doing some research, it seems to be a map of LA. Someone around there??

According to Google Maps, leftmost blue pin is on Hyde Park, between 10th and 11th Ave and 66 St (not sure about how you guys give addresses ^^).

The green one that's closest to the camera is on 70th St and 2nd Ave, and google maps has a great photo simulation of the place... It ressembles a little bit the places on the videos (where Charlie is running), but it could be anywhere... The same with the blue one on the right, it's on 67th St and St Andrews Place.

The other two I can't really locate, but I've looked the simulations of the places they are supposed to be around, and I didn't see nothing that really drew my attention...

First of all - the video is beautiful. Really, really nice, in a game or not! I love the visuals of this!

Ok so the pic has metadata title "s04at1" - so maybe the pins somehow link to the code on the cube? Or maybe all the metadata is the same.

Anyone reading this blog live in or near LA? I'm wondering if the push pin locations are the sites where the videos have been filmed...

Perhaps this a project being done by grad students in visual arts at UCLA or some such, judging by the relatively youthful appearance of the actors.

In any case, the ecstasy symbolized therein is one I'd love to experience... perhaps akin to that of a drug high or great sex, lol.

I live about 45 minutes from downtown L.A. I haven't really been in depth following this, but if there's anything in particular you need me to look at I can. It certainly looks like parts of Los Angeles, although definitely not the downtown parts (Around 1st-6th street and main), there would be WAY more people walking around... The only time there doesn't seem to be massive amounts of people is around 3-4 in the morning. The outskirts maybe. The suburb areas look a lot like Northridge as well. Parts also look a bit like Glendale. The freeway areas could be one of several freeways... there's a lot that connect to LA. I wish I could tell what exit Romeo was standing at.. there's a sign there that looks a bit fuzzy.

Could be film students from UCLA, or CSUN, or a number of any other schools. There's a lot of film and arts schools around here... also a number of kids that produce this quality of work that don't go to any of these schools. XD

But you're probably right, since it looks like this production has been put together by more than just a couple people.

Just a quick note because it crossed my mind to check...the image I sent up to them, I downloaded it and compared it to my original and they are identical, meaning that it was not edited before it was posted. At one point I wondered whether there were hidden meanings in the images on the site, since they obviously have been edited. But, in at least the case of the user uploaded ones, that seems not to be the case. Also, I downloaded and compiled stegdetect and ran it against the images from the site, and nothing came up. I still don't know what the 20x20 grid is supposed to mean, and I still think it's suspicious that there are exactly 20 numbered pictures on the site, but I can't connect those two facts. And of course we still don't know what to do with the codes we were sent.

I'm not in LA, so I will be of no help for this part, but I do think that someone who is in LA should go check out at least one of the pushpin locations and see if there's anything obvious about that spot (if we have any players in LA).
