I agree with Delta SolDL as well. As much as I enjoy a lot of the regulars' posts, I don't think a high-profile user would be a good choice.

I do think it should be someone from this forum, though. If we need a new mod at all (though, if we were to get the EMH subforum like we wanted, we would), then it should be someone experienced with Slenderman.

But that's just my $0.02 ($0.002 adjusted for inflation).

I nominate the slender community to self-moderate. This should be more about consensus shaping of the conversations than dropping banhammers or dictating behavior from some arbitrary position of "authority."

I don't mean to disagree with you, I'm not, but I'm fairly certain UF has a process they go through for banning people. Warnings, for one. I'm preeeetty certain they wouldn't give a complete stranger the ability to ban at all.

SpaceBass is right, in the end it comes down to the community to shape how things run here. The fact that people constantly respond to trolls and in-game posters isn't going to be changed by a new mod

Er, I frequent here pretty often (actually, I'm here all the time, I'm usually not logged in, though, just silently watching over all of the threads )... I just don't post much due to immersion. But, if we were to ignore the immersion fact, I'd be alright with being a mod, haha.

I'm usually decent at making decisions on whether or not something is trolling or the whole IC posts or what not.

Since I have found myself repeating a lot of things lately:

Mods CAN'T ban users. This is a function reserved for Admins.

We've got an admin and a mod here in this topic. If they're around enough to respond to folks bitching about them, they're around enough to do a decent job of keeping the board clean. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

EDIT: Not gonna lie, I was hoping for The Slender Man in like, the Libyan Civil War or something when I saw the name of the topic.
