I wonder why there are at least 3 people in these trailers/cutscenes so far that all seem to be bleeding from the top of their heads down their faces?
We had the still pic from the SB trailer that showed a man in a car with his head bleeding, then we saw the guy running from the stop sign with blood running down his head who now tells the kid he saw it.., then we have the new black fellow in his car bleeding down his head as well..

Wonder whats up with this?

One of the scenes shows a number of cars on a street flying up into the air for some reason. Might that be the cause of simultaneous head contusions as driver's get slammed around in their cars, bouncing their heads off car roofs, steering wheels, and door windows?

Well, it looks like the boy has lost his dog named Lucy (he calls out Lucy when he is looking for her in that field) and, as mentioned a few pages back,

judging by the note he posts on the bulletin board, his dad is Deputy Lamb and so the boy's name must be Joe since we know his mom has died in some sort of accident....That should put to rest the boy being Josh.

I'll text first and pics come later Smile.

1. That poster in the background. It does look like a waveform of a stereo sinesaw-wave with one channel inverted. Actually that doesn't make much sense because if you played it with an audio-system the outcome would be (more or less) silence because of self-extinction of the two channels (for further info google for "noise reduction through inversion" or something like that. It's basic physics. I just don't know the term in english)

Man - there is no poster there --- there is this thingy that hold lamp in place and can extend...

Ohhh, f**k. True. O' course. How easily one can look so pityful Smile.
Well, thanks for the clearing. I may have gone into some more observation of it just because of "wanting to see something".

It's the best theory I've heard so far. lol.

I know a few people have mentioned calling, I'm in the UK so can't really give it a shot. But if anyone does get anything would be great to know.

It's just numbers seem to have played an important part to date.

4. This is a funny one, probably just a joke by the props-guys: "One Way" and "Dead End" at the same time/direction?

Actually - these signs aren't a prop joke. This is a one-way dead end street in Weirton. It's about 6 blocks long. The signs tell any drivers coming up the hill who plan to turn onto the street that they cannot make a left turn. And if they plan to travel the entire length of the street, they will eventually arrive at a dead end. Of course, they then have no other option but to spend eternity there - unless they can find the secret wormhole that leads to a parallel universe where the road is a one-way dead end street going in the opposite direction.
(Really - the last block is the only one that is not one way.)

Just a thought about the missing dogs...

It's been mentioned that their hearing is very good, but so are bats, etc. I was thinking of the olfactory abilities to pick up the scent of persons, items, animals, etc. And there are scents that when a dog comes upon it, they turn tail and scat. Just wondering if the bad bunch of IT being transported in the train might not give off a particular scent to dogs that tells them to get as far away as possible--perhaps a proactive defense aspect of IT, letting off a scent to living things it considers a threat?

And it looks like we have a good mysterious "thing"--the cube(s?) and a bad mysterious thing.

As far as a blob looking monster, why bring in a brilliant special effects person (can't recall his name who worked on Star Trek) for the "Silly Putty That Wiped Lillian Off the Map?"

And the map of Ohio with the red dots on it--are those dots the names and locations and dates of where the missing dogs turned up?

I have a feeling that the cube is some sort of MacGuffin.

Missing 6th child

I agree with Jane Smith that something happened to the 6th child. It had to have happened either at or after the train crash, though, because if you freeze the trailer at 0:39 (right before the crash), you can see 6 kids: 3 in the foreground, 2 in the middle, and 1 in the background. The three in the front and Elle Fanning's character are in the entire trailer. As for the other two kids, dunno which one bites the bullet...train. Lolz. Couldn't help myself there.

Missing 6th Child

Edit: So having watched the trailer yet again, you can see all 6 kids looking at the wreckage after the crash at 1:05-1:09. Five are in the initial shot, and then you can see the heavier-set kid in the background on the shot of their faces. Therefore, if something happened to the 6th kid, might he be one of the 9 people gone missing?

Regarding the sawtooth wave- I think that's just the arm of the light- it's a desk lamp attached to the wall that can be accordioned out. Still kinda old-school.

Regarding the truck... If you look at the original trailer (the one where there is the conversation between the Groom lake and Air Force Base chatter), right after the truck smacks into the train, and the carnage ensues, the camera shifts to the right side of the engine of the train as it continues to crash. Something big and heavy thumps by at that moment. It's my guess that the bloody dude might have been the one in the truck, crashed it, but managed to jump out or get thrown out at the last second.

Waiting to take my part as part of Orange fleet... biding my time...
