so..

Kinda new to this. But is this site considered IG or is it just a little extra? Like will this tie in with the Josh, STIES, HLM and such? Or is me thinking it wont since it is directly tied to the movie website good enough logic that it isn't "IG" per say but still relevant to the movie.

(lurker who decided to get into this more)
Right now, it looks like this is more related to the movie than the game, but maybe we will unlock more clips as we progress in the game?

@woodsm3

I think that you might get a slightly different answer from each and every player on this forum. I consider everything "In Game", but I think that there are two parts to the experience. The Alternate Reality portion would be the Josh and Mysterio storyline and the Rocket Poppeteers story. The viral marketing portion would be the trailers, the picture/picture puzzles, and the new editing room. The black and white clips will span the viral marketing portion through the editing room and will play into the AR with the Josh/Mysterio storyline.
The main idea is to play everything and have a great time doing it. And on June 10, go see the movie with a lot more information than the average movie-goer.

I couldn't agree more. Thank you very much. I just wasn't quite sure if I should be looking for a connection between the stuff on the editing room and something like STIES or something like that. But I will for sure enjoy every minute of it and cannot wait until the 10th. I go on spring break the day before. So as a celebration I'm seeing it in IMAX on my way back down through Seattle! My parents are so sick of hearing about this game. I just can't convince them to get involved. Razz

I'm pretty sure mine has long mastered the art of blocking me out when I start into it.

Link to a .rar containing the edt.room clip as .avi + a copy of the valuable sound as mono .mp3 in 75% tempo:

(if unfamiliar: click the link on the right side, that will become available after about 20 secs, didn't want to upload it to uF because of its size.)

Frames 61 62

In the spherical container to the left of the cube(s), to me it looks like there is a fish on its side, and then when the cube(s) begin to agitate and vibrate, the "fish" begins moving.

It makes me wonder if the next words were to be "ability to reanimate life."

I noticed that too. Maybe its little Josh... Very Happy

I was also thinking that Dr Minker (or whoever was driving the truck) wasnt worried about death because he knew the cube device would revive him.

Just a thought.

I think that possibly what it's going to come down to is "good" escapee from the wreck--possibly the cube(s), and "bad"--the "IT" responsible for the 9 people missing and the property destruction, and yeah, as I postulated earlier, perhaps Josh is a result of the "foreign matter" and the experiment with some help from Minker, Sr.

Beginning and End of the footage

Okay, so attached is the writing on the film at the start. What's not been mentioned (as far as I'm aware) is this is also repeated at the end of the footage (just inverted). More curious is right at the very end, in what initially looks like noise are more letters and an image of the Cube (?Trogl)...

I'm not 100% what it says or whether I've captured all the letters (it's kinda tricky so a second pair of eyes would be good), but I've tried to make sure it's in the right order. The bottom image shows the original after running it through a Guassian sharpen. I believe the end image is just circles from the projection light. Anyhow, I think it reads:

    IIJ DITV XI

    or

IIU DITV XI /11U DITV XI/11J DITV XI

Nothing obvious on google Rolling Eyes

Also for the record the narration is:

Quote:

41: Exposing the crop to a barrage of..

61: .. These cubes. Even more surprising were their biological attributes. Most remarkably…

?Relation to the letter?

Can't help be reminded of this:

Quote:

Hopefully this has fallen into the right hands. If you are reading this, it means you've found each clue. Wherever I am, I'm grateful to you both for your willingness to help and trust me.
I wish I could be there to explain in person. Perhaps someday.
It's been five days since we left the hospital(1). I'll try to leave as many breadcrumbs as I can. TROGL and the rest(2). Use them. As of now, the vitas relic(3) is safe. Safer in some places than others but I'll have to rely on luck to keep it secure (until?) absolutely necessary.

1) ?FFSH
2) TROGL = Mody dick clue for Josh (note letter was written for two people, which means a pair of starting clues were hidden...)
3) Vitasrelic = Cube

Another breadcrumb perhaps. Maybe, we have the 1950s backstory (Discovery of vitasrelic), the events of the movie where "it" escapes, and the modern day viral where we have to track it down? BTW. Josh has been v.quiet lately....
