Spoiler (Rollover to View):
How did you come to the 2:00 time? We learned the same topic, the Phantasm of the Mundane, but "low noon" was the time we were given. We took that to mean 1:00 PM. Did someone specifically tell you 2:00?

Also,

The hippies kept giving vague answers. That's why I asked the scientist. He told me 2pm as well. I didn't get too much of a chance to look around. The drawer below the bowl had bags of the globes. Wanted to take a bag but it would have made too much noise. Nothing in the drawer in the right except some wires, a bible, and an unmarked CD. Donno what the CD could have been though.

if someone still hasn't done this yet, try to obtain more than one globe. They have plenty. And explore. You'll only get one short chance.

Got to go to the pre-screening with my reschedule. But after having all the emails forwarded to me (just now) it looks like I kind of wasted my time because I didn't know anything about what we were supposed to do in there at all and just entirely confused about what was going on. Hopefully now that I have some form of information tomorrow will go a lot smoother. Going to have to get caught up on the information I was supposed to get today but didn't know I was supposed to get.

These things do happen...

Everfalling has been nice enough to fill me in on a lot of things but I still don't know what the 'globes' are or what we are supposed to do tomorrow.

Lesson learned, don't have someone else buy your ticket for these things because it will be a terrible debacle.

They are definitely trying to deflect, confuse, distract and befuddle you! Stay on it!

I went last night, and was hella pleased to see MrEricSir, JTony and Monotony in there. MrEricSir was reversing the tasks they were giving him, so I didn't want to ruin what he had going.

Here's what I did:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I tried to bullshit them with fast-talking. I told everyone there that I was on a medication that was like a caffeine pill but it was also a diuretic and maybe those two are related huh but anyway I was hoping to time taking my medication so my side effects would correspond with the breaks and anyway my friend Sandra has been part of the Jejune Institute for a decade or more and SHE said that Torry was the speaker I'd most enjoy and do you know when she goes on? And what's her talk on?

Later I realized I hadn't said what the medication was for, so I started saying it was for gaps in my memory, so I could ask the same questions three minutes later after they deflected them. :p

Got the time from the doc, but he said he hadn't read the schedule/program so he didn't know the topic, and suggested I ask the folks in the waiting room. I got the topic from one of them, but she said it in a way that made me think she was insulting me, calling me a phantasm and a mundane. Which made sense, as I had it coming... I was being really obnoxiously insistent. XD

Also what the heck with all the Jelly Belly stuff in the lobby, there's a picture of George Clooney made up of Jelly Belly beans on canvas.

I mean okay, it's not fungus, but I guess it'll do.

Observations

Overall it was a gorgeous venue. Instead of George Clooney in Jelly Bellies it was a roaring brown bear though.

Waiting room:
Initial impressions: really too warm for anyone's good, but the air was pretty energizing, like it was ionized. One of the people left for Elsewhere soon after we arrived. The crystals and the singing bowl were a really nice touch and since the screening room was running late we had lots of time with Lash, Fred and Laura. A few people did the "I love you" exercise, and a lot of us passed around Bobby's crystal. A participant, his mundane alias was Nicholas carried the large crystal like a baby.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Getting the time out of them was like pulling teeth, but they were pretty forthcoming with Phantasm of the Mundane. But I suspect that Dr. Eldridge had the other piece of the puzzle.

Screening room:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
My counterpart went before I did and thankfully we explored different parts of the room. She wasn't able to find anything under the bed covers, and the drawer only held a bible and extra video cables. I had to grab the bulbs on the Doctor's Bathroom break before we even started the video. Unfortunately, the dress I was wearing had no pockets so I had to clutch my stomach to make sure I didn't loose my globe. In that mayhem I forgot to ask about Torry Hotprune's speaking time. Darn their Jejunering Jejunery!!
It may just be me, but I think that video was the weirdest of them all.

Pockets are good.

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow~

So, now that most of us have gone through the pre-screening, we are all ready for tomorrow! Twisted Evil

Today's experience was quite interesting... I feel as though the Doctor knew something was up. Could he tell through the video that we were up to something? Dunno, only time will tell...

Now, here comes the tin-foil hat theory. In the waiting room, Lashes said something about, "Oh I had so much fun in Act 4."

Act 4? As in the Chapel of the Bells Act 4? Something fishy is going on... Why would a Jejune Goon follow the path of Eva and the Hollowheads?

Friggin' strange.

i got a hug from the girl with dark hair and the gold bands on her head. then i gave her a high five and taught her the elbow trick. didn't catch her name. she was /really/ cute. that is all.

also if the emails didn't explain it the bio globes are supposed to be the power source for the vital orbit force field device and we're instructed specifically not to put them in water.

Ever, just because the JI loves you enough to splice your name in between some awkward sex scenes doesn't mean you can hit on their cultists all willy nilly.

I mentioned the same thing to one of my crew who was there with me. I have a strange feeling... Her name isn't Lash.

Anyone else notice that there were several episodes of Look Around You spliced into the video? Specifically the one about Water (Thanks ants... Thanks.) and also the Maths episode.

Also, if your eyes are quick, the word "Everfalling" flashes on the screen very quickly.

yeah i had a hard time stifling a snicker when i saw the ants building the igloo and then clips from other episodes (and i saw Eldredge note down my reactions). to be fair that show really captures the style of 80's television so it fits right in with the rest of it.

What a crazy experience! A lot of the content was trust-building exercises, which seemed reminiscent of Act IV.

Honestly my favorite part was at the very end, when Octavio came out, disappeared, and then we got to ask Jeff Hull questions. A Q&A with the game creator is a strange way to end the game, but then again, the entire game was pretty strange when you come right down to it.

I still feel like there's a lot of questions that were unanswered, but perhaps Jeff is right, and I need to read the contents of the repository more carefully.

Anyhow, looking forward to whatever Nonchalance does next.
