Ugh, don't remind me. So much damn wind. Wouldn't be bad, but in my school, I have to walk down a street between every period. And now I had to leave my house because there's a gas fire three blocks away and I had no power there and I hate life.

Oops, off topic. Sorry.

The small tortoiseshell - (Aglais urticae):

We can't see the blue on his wings because he's in an orange light.

A unique feature of the Nymphalinae family of butterflies is that they land with their wings flat and open, as opposed to most butterflies that land with their wings folded above them.

I just realized... the "small tortoiseshell" butterfly? Could have something to do with Dina (tortoise.html)? Ahh... maybe not. Confused

For some reason I can't help but feel that the art on Wongmo's page has some sort of importance. Why else would it still be updated here and there? I mean, not everything has to "mean" something, but I just get that feeling.

I've been following your game for only about a week now and I still haven't gone through the whole lot. I apologise in advance if I double-post someone else's idea.

Now, as for the butterfly pic on Wongmo - what strikes me as very odd is the fact that there is artificial light and simply total darkness around it.
I mean, this very type of butterfly is quite common here (Europe), but it's only active during the day. As far as I know, it ever naturally appearing at night or being attracted by artificial light is unheard of. Happens sometimes, though, if the thing is trapped somewhere indoors and threatened. I mean something like being animated by the pure need to escape.

This may be meaningless, but I get the impression of something unnatural and forced in the first place.
Or perhaps the poor thing has somehow been fooled into believing this is natural light. Which taken together with Dina's writing about brightest day yet and what she's thinks is going to hapen... makes me think she may end up not-that-happy-at-all.
Or am I just overinterpreting?

With this ARG I don't think you can ever over-interpret!
As far as your theory goes, I read it thinking how much it relates to the people trapped in the Matrix - that they have been fooled into thinking that this is the real world, etc.
Nice first post, by the way. Smile

Thanks Smile

Exactly what I had in mind - people trapped in the Matrix and believing this to be their true lives.
But if it turns out Dina has now been fooled into believing sth untrue, this would take the power of the Matrix to sth like another level.
See the irony of it all? If she and Ethan really (as is a common belief now) wanted to break free form the Matrix, and the loss of memory of their past life is the price they are paying for this... And if they struggle so hard to recover that memory and whatever else they can from their past... And she feels she's so close, and she's so full of hope and so emotional about what she's going to find out... Etc.
And all that she finds is another illusion. That's Matrix times Matrix times... Confused

Gosh, it's just struck me now: what if this has something to do with the five walls?
What if she has to go through four stages of this illusion (taking all the players along, of course) - and only when she reaches the 5th wall (I'm simply judging by it being marked with a digit, not a word) this whole thing can come to any conclusion?
Just speculating, though.
