 Best MH moments

As all of us know, Marble Hornets is full of awesome, memorable moments -- every Entry, totheark video, tweet by Jay, and whatever else has something unsettling, frightening, chair-jump-inducing, or just otherwise cool and well-designed in it. But which MH moments are your favorites?

For me, one of the top moments was the visual tear in #16 - by the time you saw the video, you already knew that visual tearing = big trouble. Except this time this wasn't footage from three years back, it was happening to Jay right there and then. A definite "oh shit, he's screwed" moment.

totheark's (I'm still convinced that TTA = Tim, though judging from the latest tweet, I may be proven wrong by Jay soon) appearance in #19 made me stop watching MH until several days after. I'm still reluctant to watch the entry to this day.

There's also the Operator's glorious return in #26, with Amy's appropiate reaction - a nice change after a nearly whole season of silence.

What moments impressed you, scared you, blew your mind, etc.?

My favorite moment was definetely the fight in entry 35. After watching Alex's and Jay's individual struggles, it was a really nice payoff to see them reunite and finally win one. I'd almost hazard to say they accomplished more together than either of them had seperately.

Agreed. I was actually giggling with glee when I watched that.

I also liked Masky's return in Entry 33. At that moment, it felt awesome to see a old face from Season 1 return. It was really a "oh shi" moment. Slendy from Entry 26 and Masky from 18 and 19 also rank highly as well.

Entry 33 is by far one of my favorite entries. The trashed room, the lock combo, and the backwards camera all led up to one of the greatest reveals in MH, in my opinion.

"Entry ######" is without a doubt one of the things that scared me the most and simultaneously got me the most excited.

I'm finally out of my lurkhole! Hi everyone!

Definitely agree on this one, especially the mask/face at :17. That is the stuff of nightmares.

The debut of Masky.

Still don't think I shit my pants more than that.

All the stuff going on was crazy.

Other than that I liked the "Season 1 Finale" with Alex's girlfriend. I saw the line at the bottom of the camera and knew shit was about to go down. Then when she turned around and we saw the Operator...woo that was great.

entry 4 playground. the walking into the room on 14 was definitely great. and 18 has a place in my heart because that was around when i got caught up on the whole series, and it was my first time waiting for a new entry.

I really enjoyed the whole winter solstice twitter update into entry 21 into entry 22 two days. probably the most exciting short time period for the series.

then totheark's response to 16 where jay is on the ground is the moment i realized "things are getting real".

then obviously 35 felt awesome, almost cathartic really. 34 entries of questions, and finally an answer. that was greatness.

yeah, i like a lot of the series, and because the topic is "moments" and not "moment" i went crazy.

Whenever Masky was just sitting there in the shadow of the house then decided to assault Jay. That was probably the part that scared me the most in the series. Shocked

Entry 19 left me scared for a week thinking I'd wake up and see someone watching me.

Entry 33 where so far little had truly happened in season 2 masky's glorious return was glorious

The Observer's rape face at the end of the Come Closer Video!

Oh boy that's tough. I think it's between 18 (for making me shit myself), 23 (for "Oh god, evil house!"), 33 (for "Yay, Masky returns!), and 1/6 (because the silence and head tilt. -shudder).

Really it's just a great series.

One of my absolute favorite moments in the series was when Brian moves his head in #7 and you see the Operator in the background. It's so subtle, it took me a moment to see it. That's when I really started to appreciate this series. That entry managed to scare the pants off me without any cheap tricks, suspenseful music or loud noises. Just fabulous writing, directing and camerawork.

My first chair-jump moment was Masky's **RUSH TACKLE** introduction in #18. And the first time I actually shrieked was #19 - it was the shock of the audio and visual distortion paired with Masky on the dresser in a bat pose.

And finally, Masky's return in #33 was nothing short of masterful. The hand on the door - it gave me chills. So wonderfully creepy and foreboding.

Tims bloodcurdling, distorted scream at the end of entry 35, that was probably the most satisfying sound I have ever heard. Entry #### and Maskys first appearance were also very memorable, up until masky appeared Jay hadn't really encountered an enemy or obstacle. I also loved the subtle appearances of the operator like in entry 2 and 7.

The tear in #26, just before the Operator appears in Alex's house, is my personal favorite tear.
