http://theabandonedwindmill.com/notesandnews.html new update. The note is missing the letters W,L, and E. Makes it easy to read the note, making the long word that is almost entirely redacted "Dweller," if I had to guess.

First word is while.
The last line looks like the very top of "the well" so I think you're right on "well"

I got an email from Tom a couple of days ago, and he said he was working on an entry about "the thing with his dad."

He also mentioned that he wasn't feeling well again, and that was the reason for the delay.
