And this is what I've gotten. I chose the easy part to do first. Way to go, me. /lazy Mad Obviously the Marble Hornets logo?

edit: I kinda thought it said something else, hence why I started with this, even though it was unscrambled a couple pages back, but as I've done a bit more, I realized it was just scribbly and in lots of tiny pieces.. Mad

Seems weird for them to be telling us about an actual DVD release while the game is still going on. That'll kinda mess with whole immersion thing. Maybe it is just a joke?

It is not a joke. It has been hinted at time and time again that a DVD is on the way. Not only that, but it has been confirmed by a cast member.

Can we just drop the theory that it's a joke now?

Thank you John Hancock. I wasn't suggesting that the potential release of a DVD is a joke, I'm well aware that the cast has talked about it. I'm suggesting that it being released while the game is still in progress, thus messing up the immersion, is the joke. That theory is perfectly valid. It would be a strange move on Troy's part to release a DVD before the series is complete. They said in their radio interview that they're not considering releasing other merchandise for similar reasons.

I can't imagine why Troy Wagner, creator of a blog almost wholly dedicated to behind-the-scenes production info on Marble Hornets, would ever consider breaking the stunning level of immersion we all have.

Which is why the cover says "The Complete First Season"

You miss the point. Doesn't matter where the cutoff is, it's the fact that they'd release a DVD in any capacity while the ARG is still going on that would break the immersion.

Breaking immersion just seems like such a non-problem, to be honest. At least in this way. I mean, it'd be different if mid-entry Jay looked at the camera and starting advertising the thing, but I see absolutely no problems with a DVD.

Anyone that buys the dvd probably won't care that much about immersion. The rest can happily ignore it's existance. Troy has posted many behind-the-scenes info on his blog, and if you can ignore that, you can ignore the dvd.

So long as he doesn't mention it in the actual entries, I see no problems.

It's more contrary to the type of thing they try to avoid.

I'm sorry but

Are you people really this dense

Anybody who follows Troy's blog would know that the DVD is a reality

Nevermind the fact that a certain cast member who will remain unnamed PERSONALLY TOLD ME that there was a DVD in the works

'Dense' is a bit harsh. Surely you can understand why some of us are suspicious, considering the timing and all.
The timing several days in advance of April 1st?

I don't think it's dense to be suspicious.

I really hope it's not a joke, however.

I'm a bit disappointed that the operator symbol is nowhere to be seen there Sad
