Immersion Bishmershion. Where do I deposit my monies?

And why does it break immersion exactly. Ignore it if it bothers you that much.

Also, if it's an April fools, he's the fool because you can only prank people from 00:01 - 11:59 on April 1st.

I'm hoping that the DVD itself will have the symbol on it. Round in shape, etc. I think it would work.

Also, uh, first post and that.

It is actually. Look a couple pages back at my third picture post, it's there under the front cover logo.

"Breaking immersion" is a non-issue, mostly because this ARG has been portrayed as primarily non-interactive. I see it more as a wild ride on which I am but an observer.

I only get eleven hours and fifty-eight minutes? I thought I had all day! D:

The "you can't prank people after midday" thing is a prank to stop people watching out for pranks after midday.

lol'd on the last part

I know this is getting slightly OT now, but I would love a The Room / Birdemic / Rocky Horror -esque screening of all of MH once the series is entirely through, the whole cast/crew up there making MST3k-like commentary, people reenacting scenes, throwing crap at the screen ('Give me the knife!' "FUCK YOU, ALEX, I'M NOT GIVING YOU THE KNIFE!"). Aah, but one can dream...

I honestly doubt we'll see a DVD until after season two is at or near its end. That'd require an online store of sorts, which could mean a website of sorts, and as much credit as I give Troy, Joseph, Tim & Co. for the work they manage to pull off while being full-time students, I doubt they'll be able to get all of that ready any time before then (that is, unless Troy's been a sneaky person and has had someone else working on this with/for him for a while now with absolutely no hints whatsoever... which WOULD be awesome!)

Either way, hey! We're gets-in' ourselves a DVD! Very Happy

Internet people (news sites, Mod the Sims, other sites in general) do April Fools jokes as early as... well, now, and magazines do them a full month in advance. It's the reveal that usually happens after midday (or sometimes midnight) on April 1.

Ohmygod.....

I would honestly consider that one of the best things ever...

However if they actually did that, I think I'd have to wait to watch it until after the end of the series. It's like what Troy and Joseph were saying about blooper reels. Vastly entertaining, but horrible for how serious the series is.

It's like how Amnesia:The Dark Descent is no longer scary when people are screaming in mock fear and making fun of floppy-jawed zombies.

But seriously
Loyal blog folk: I have a confession to make.

It's not a joke.

We had to wait until today to officially be able to say something about it, but yeah, Marble Hornets: Season 1 will be available soon. No exact date has been set just yet, but it will be very very soon.

It's for sure. And definitely not a prank.

MARBLE HORNETS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON
--------------------------------------------------------
-Two discs!
-Includes Introduction, Entries 1-26 and their respective totheark responses.
-Commentary by me, Joseph (Alex), and Tim.
-Behind the scenes funstuff like bloopers and Tim being a constant, hilarious distraction.
-The tweets/twitpics
-Bios
-Festival trailer
--------------------------------------------------------

A preemptive mini-FAQ:

How much will it cost?
-$11.95 +S&H

Is the DVD region free?
-Yes!

Where do I buy it?
-We'll let you know as soon as it's available.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS MARBLE HORNETS IS RUINED IF YOU SELL IT FOR MONIES YOU GREEDY SLOTH ALSO MY IMMERSION IS RUINED EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS A LIE
-I'm not forcing you to buy anything. If you want to help fund both MH and future productions, this is the perfect way to do so. Remember: it's free for you to watch on Youtube, but it's not free for us to make.

Is this an April Fool's Day prank?
-Isn't it bad form to pull an April Fool's prank when it's not even April Fool's Day? Think about it.

Did you make the cover art?
-Sure didn't. It was put together by a few people, but mostly by wonderful graphic designer Terry Lynn Massey, a big contributor over at Unfiction. She also made this amazing poster and this sweet ass video.

For like the hundredth time, big thanks to ALL of you for continuing to support us, whether you buy a DVD or not. None of this would be possible if we didn't have loyal people like you watching. Stay tuned!

From Troy's blog. This sounds very exciting! DVD Extras!

Dray, you sneaky little devil! You make their cover for them and then don't breathe a word to us! I guess it's entirely appropriate, but hot diggedy dang, good job!
