something i just discovered (possibly slenderman related?)
totally just stumbled upon this!

So I was on Youtube, when suddenly I stumbled upon this video about a music album that I didn't make. Weird that I found it, 'cuz it only has like 20 views. I saw it, and I thought, MAYBE SLENDERMAN CONNECTION??? Because that's the first thing that popped into my head.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this discovery with you guys here.

>possibly Slenderman related
>Video title: "SLENDERMAN! THE ALBUM!"
>hmm, this may have a connection to Slenderman, but I'm not sure

You know, there's easier ways to get your Slenderman vlog/blog/musical adventure noticed. Try PM'ing a prominent member about it, they'll mention it for you, most likely.

EDIT: I'm currently downloading the album, just to see if at least this self-promotion has an upside. I'll post a review/impression of it when it's done.

I agree. It's a bit weak to say "possibly Slender Man related" when "Slender Man" is in the title of the video.

I don't know, this seems 100 percent legit. I mean, the OP even said he just found it on the internet. Why would anyone ever ever lie about that, especially on the Unfiction forums?

There is never self promotion here... I was wrong, I apologize.

Okay, intentionally-crappy self-promotion aside, I thought this place would be the best spot to drum up interest for this album. Opinions on it would be very greatly appreciated.

I like it and the idea of it. Some of the tracks felt a bit spacey or empty, but all around good work. Smile

Oh cool, thanks! It's my first true album (as opposed to mixtapes/DJ mixes), and wasn't entirely sure how to go about the multimedia elements, so it's good to know it wasn't earbendingly bad.

I enjoy the way it told a story. Only advice I can really say is that the album ends rather abruptly, but I guess that fits with Slenderman...

Well, I don't want to spoil anything, but the "story" is fleshed out in more ways than just the tracks themselves...

I kinda wanted to do something like this, only more rock-ish/techno-ish. Downloading the album right now. Review after I give it a listen.

i'm a lurker here, i just want to say that the whole "oh, i just found this" angle kind of turned me off of this at first, though i was quickly able to tell that you were being tongue-in-cheek about it.

the album's pretty cool and spooky, though a little too harsh on the ears when it gets distorted (although this was probably 100% intentional). the only song samples that really stood out for me were Geto Boys "at night i can't sleep" part, and the bits of Tom Waits' voice in the background of the "going into the forest" track. very scary and effective!

by the way, i'm sure that the cover art pics in the mp3's are QR codes (with the black/white parts inverted?), but i don't have a phone that can read those.
