Not quite, but there are certainly some resemblances (the memory-altering, the relatively long arms and general appearance, the fact that they all seem to wear suits...). Should certainly be interesting to see where they go from there with the Silence...

And its first appearance(in the White House)....Good stuff.

I actually think that Steve Moffat may be aware of Slender Man and just decided to take it in his own direction... As he does with everything.

Multiple of them and lightning powers. Those were my problems. I always imagined Slendy as telepathic in some way (possibly in a way that drives people insane listening to it) so the bathroom scene wasn't much of a problem.

I also thought that the "Look away and forget" power was an interesting way to show his memory altering ability (if it is meant to be based on him) since I think that this is just the enemy for the first two-parter and it happens over a short amount of time, instead of months of stalking.

 		Given the Beeb put a video named ...are real? which was just black and white footage of vans and flats and stuff with heavy distortion, I'm convinced someone up there does know about Slendy. Very Happy

This is all, of course, implying they were meant to be like Slender Man. Yeah, they wear suits and wipe memories... but so do Men In Black. We are Unfiction, though, so we can take minor things and turn them into trees.

 		Slenderman in doctor who
season 6 first episode aleins seemed oddly familer....
did anyone else see doctor who last night?

i thought it was interesting that the aliens wore suits, were very tall and caused memory lost. now they did have a face but not like a humans. anyone else think of slender man when they watched this?
