So I was definitely curious about that Roger Ebert quote and decided to do some digging.

Apparently Tim commented on his blog and got him to check it out. Shocked

Mr. Ebert,

I thought I might call your attention to something that seems to be catching some interest on the internet as of late. I'm not quite sure how I could describe it appropriately: it's basically a series of shorts that comprise a long narrative that is almost certainly a hoax, but is still playing out brilliantly.

With the sudden burst of shoddy films-masquerading-as-documentaries such as "The Fourth Kind" that have been popping up recently, I thought you might find this a breath of fresh air.

Remarkably well done. A forsaken indie meets "Paranormal" in a YouTube serial.

You may be pleased with how I tweeted it:

No, that's not content theft. Every hit counts directly on YouTube. I'm just saving the audience extra clicking, so they can get into it more easily. Each episode is admirably brief.

So I pretty much follow every single video series there is. Just saying.

Wait, if it's already on Yahoo shopping, does this mean we can order it?

Totally ordering my copy asap - I want one of the first 1000 so that I can get the rare "typo" edition Very Happy.

Am I the only one who got sort of giddy after reading the "Festival trailer" bit? I suddenly got this weird mental image of Marble Hornets making the rounds at Cannes, Sundance... Razz

The minute it hits midnight I am going to their dvd page and ordering. I have wanted that sense I first started watching MH.

Off Topics: Hope EMH does the same. Big fan of both.

This would definitely be a big motivation for me to shell out bucks to try to get tickets to one of those festivals. (I guess 'being a film major' should automatically do that but I mean... it's not cheap Razz )

Just curious, but I'm assuming most people are going to be getting one copy? Maybe this is a bit of a naive proposal, but maybe we should (as a forum) pledge to that so that more people have the chance to get the DVD on the first run (unless, I guess, you are getting it for another board member or series fan to save on shipping... guess there are a lot of loopholes in this proposition, eh?).

Basically, you're saying, if you only need one copy, only buy one copy.

I will be getting one, cause I don't have the money to throw around like that, and I don't really mind a simple spelling error. I won't be buying the second edition. Razz

Pretty much. ^__^'' I mean, I can wait until Round 2 if I have to, but honestly, I'd love to get a copy before the 1000 inevitably sell out in a day and a half (or less... it's definitely possible). I just know somewhere there's gonna be an ass who orders 30+ copies to resell on eBay for a profit, which means somebody will have to miss out. I doubt it'd be anybody on here, but I figure it's a good idea to make sure we're all on the same page.

Shutting up now. Embarassed

It does mean you can order it, but I probably wouldn't if I were you. I came across the link by accident due to somehow getting into the main "MarbleHornetsDVD.Com" website, and clicking on the "Order Now" button.

Questions will be raised, and it'll probably cause more hassle that it's worth. Wait just a few more hours until tommorow Smile

Pardon my ignorance, but is there going to be any method of payment besides Pay-Pal?

I've just had a quick look at the checkout section for the DVD, and while Paypal seems to be the main option, you can still order by Credit/Debit card.

From everything I've heard, PayPal is the only method accepted. He stated this on his fb page, but I don't have the link.

Taken from the Official Checkout page for the DVD. Surely the word "Or" suggests that there is more than one way of paying? And this must be some sort of Credit Card transaction?

Also, I don't know if anyone has found this yet, but here's the DVD Case for the Marble Hornets Season 1 Boxset :-

I like it! Only one more day till I can say I've ordered this ... I actually can't wait. Loving The Operator Sign on the Disk.
