Just showed my parents the DVD. My dad found it ridiculous. My mom kept falling asleep.

I guess old people can't appreciate MH. Razz

I'm watching the commentary, and it's a ton of fun.

I do admit the greatness of MH kind of died out a bit with the DVD, but it's still fun to watch.

I dunno, it just feels a lot more exciting and 'real' watching MH on YouTube.

My only negative thing to say about the dvd is: I wish the blooper reel was longer.

Then again I'm the season 2 release will have more or they'll release more from season one after Masky's unmasking has had time to get around.

I ordered mine the hour the store went up. Took it until today. But I've got it, the filmamker edition.

I'm in love with this, guys. I love the commentary. I LOVE the festival trailer, oh my god. I just wish the bonuses were longer, but I imagine Season Two will have all those.

Actually... I bet Season Two won't, either. I bet they'll release a standalone Marble Hornets: The Complete Bonuses Collection. Four discs' worth of bloopers, deleted scenes, skits, goofs. Then the fifth disc will contain Lead Me Totheark: Operating Marble Hornets. A full, feature-length film documenting the making of the series, every single bit of it, including the Operator.

The fifth disc will also have special featurette: Behind the Mask: A Day in the Life of Tim. It'll be, like.. five minutes long, and feature Tim as he gets up, grabs a video camera, puts on a mask, and walks out the door. He comes back later, takes off the mask, hooks up his camera to a computer, and posts footage as totheark. Complete with documentary-style interviews of Tim, speaking in some weird pant-y voice from behind the mask.

And right at the end of Lead Me Totheark? Every single person who's ever been involved with Marble Hornets gathered around a furnace. Troy, Joseph, Tim, as well as a fourth person in an Operator suit, will be holding a twenty-dollar bill. And then they will throw it into the furnace, and everyone will shout "NO MORE."

That's totally gonna happen, guys.

This has to happen now. I can wait forever.

They BETTER not make a DVD collection JUST for bonus features.

But if they did, I would still buy ten.

Great, now you've got me imagining a Watchmen parody where Masky's addressing Jay from atop his dresser.

"And he will shout 'LEAD ME TO THE ARK'. And I'll whisper, 'No.'"

A lot of the creepiness in MH comes from already knowing about the slenderman mythos. I mean, all the Operator really does is just stand around and stalk film students.

Well, I could say quite a few negative things.

-Why are there 6 subtitle tracks with nothing on them?
-The sound is pretty quiet.
-The text seems ill-formatted for television screens

Doesn't mean I don't like it.

From what I've seen on Troy's Facebook, the "Please don't copy this DVD or else Slenderman will get you" warning wasn't his fault and he appears to not like it.

Judging from the warning, and the terribly mismatched and unfitting design of the DVD website, I suppose that other than the actual videos, Troy had little creative control over the DVD and the producer slapped shit there because 'it might be cool'.

Got my DVD today~

Watched the Entries. I liked everything, but I wish they'd used a black border for the text when it wasn't against a black background; compare "Introduction" and "Entry #26".

Commentary amused me, especially the crap jokes. I put the special features DVD in first by accident (whoops), so I'm gonna go watch that again.
