[ABANDONED BLOG] Violent Violet Ashes
I... guess this is a Slenderblog? Not certain yet...

Alright... I'm not going to come out with some bullshit "Oh hey guys I found this blog with all of four posts take a look!!!" stchick. I don't plan on guest bumping either, since I'm desperate, but not that desperate.

Call me Locked. Ordinary, run of the mill geek freshman. Interests included Mecha, Mecha, Music, and more Mecha. Yesterday, well... I started having these.. hallucinations, and these... things happened in class. I'd started looking into all this Slenderman stuff since it was a nice horror story, and I dismissed the one dream I had, but...

Well, when you see a lot of signs and then your entire apartment building burns down in a way that shouldn't have happened, well... You start to think things.

I've started a blog, "Violent Violet Ashes". Planning to go out there and get some answers, or at least do a hell of a lot of research and looking into things it'd probably be better for me not to.

If you can help by.. I don't know, at least responding so I don't think I'm crazy all the time, grand. Information would be even better, if you could comment with it...

Honestly, I don't know. Take a look if you want, I'm so bad at all this attention-grabbing shit has never come easy to me.

...Wow, I sure am a genius. Future Paranormal Survivor Valedictorian right here guys, keep a look out, since I'm about to super-brain my way straight to the cure for zombie cancer (Please oh [i]please[/i[ don't let that be a thing.)

Said I'd not double-post, or at least... Implied as such, but I'm dumb enough when it comes to blogging that I forgot to, you know, enable anonymous comments.

So that's a thing that exists now. Proceed with your usual shenanigans and critique. Or don't.

If you're posting in character, stop. You are not allowed to do this on these forums.

First post was IC so as to deliver a decent hook. Sorry if that was the wrong thing to do, I may have missed something whilst blowing through the rules.

I don't know what you're talking about.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The first post is always fine, and is all you get. If you're gonna continue coming around here, go incognito. Vanish into the crowd, and we'll pretend we never saw you.

I like the name "stretch armstrong", very cute. Although, the color scheme and visual palette are perhaps a bit too classic in this case, if you follow my meaning.

I'm not sure how I feel about reading the words "Slenderman Mythos" in the first post. It just bugs me. But I like the writing style.

*Sigh* I hate to say this, but you might be wrong here Dillon and would not be alone with your line of thinking. I'm not saying this to get anyone angry, and I agree that posting for an ARG is against the rules and wrong, but who says his blog is an ARG?

If his works is truly just a blog, there is nothing in the rules that says he can't post here, in character or not. If anything, I'd question the relevancy of the thread itself being in this forum, but the post breaks no rules as I see it. He could post as often as he wanted to, and not be breaking the rules. As soon as he throws in a game element, that changes everything.

I see this often now and it bugs me, particularly when it comes to the blogs. At this point, I'd say that Marble Hornets barely deserves it's own thread, let alone it's own topic since the ARG element has been removed completely.

Is it the right way to go about things? No. Is it breaking the rules? I'm not so sure.

You will note that this forum and the MH forum are under the "Chaotic fiction" section, which has a somewhat broader definition than "ARGs and only ARGs".

Oh God, you're that person from AngoraChat, aren't you.

I'd be more sympathetic if you hadn't pretty much come right out and told us you were starting a Slenderblog. xD

It is in fact breaking the rules.

I took a look at the Slendyblog and I'm not all that hooked. It's almost exactly like every other slendyblog, if not even more average. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether this is an actual Slender Man story or just plain ranting about the Slender Man mythos.
