 		am i the only one who thought when jay asked alex where they were that alex was going to answer and say "the ark"?

It was mentioned a couple of times already, but I thought of this too. I was leaning towards my monitor, waiting for Alex to say those two words. xD I wish I could remember the awesome person who made that post.

 		Don't know if this very minor detail has been mentioned, and this may just be YouTube, but at the start of the video, when the first text (besides the entry number), "I found the following footage..." appears, there is some horizontal flicker to the left, of the second line.

Probably means nothing.

As for the Entry itself, I felt it was leading up to something, then...nothing. I want to know what happens after Jay puts in a new tape, after Alex told him to "come here". What was Alex going to show Jay?

 		He has actually updated his Twitter with a link now, for what it's worth.

I guess I really am the only person who thought this entry was cool. Everyone I've asked at my school absolutely hates it because of the acting. (They're all acting students at a good acting school, heh.) I never thought it was that bad but apparently it's worse than my acting. (Their words, not mine. >_>)

Ouch... damn artsy acting school kids. Razz

But no, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't the best entry they've put up by a long shot, and pales in comparison to the past three starting with #35, but it's development. They've been doing this for two fracking years, I don't think they'd put up an entry at this point unless it was important.

And considering Jay just pointed out on le blog that they're working towards 'the end of Marble Hornets' I figure they're not gonna fuck around with filler at this stage...


That said, I get why it's been disliked, but I don't think that means it was a useless entry. Boring, maybe. But important.

A lot of my friends didn't like this entry because "it was scary at all!". Which is what they say about any entry without slenderman or masky in it. They could care less about the storyline; all they want is nightmare fuel.

That's the same reason some of my friends who I got started on MH don't like it that much anymore. Not enough Slenderman.

I made the mistake of also showing then T12, and all the Slendy in that sort of made them unhappy with how little Slendy is being used in MH lately, I guess.

The reason I mentioned that is because I don't think they're as into 'filler entries' as they were when they were starting out and had no idea where the story was going. Sure, it could be a huge red herring and end up being completely unrelated to the plot, but I'm just arguing that it's not a pointless entry.

He could still be filming himself for all we know, just not getting around to looking at his footage yet, or maybe doesn't want to.

There really isn't anything in the show I'd call filler anyway. I always found the story to be chronicled in a very natural and realistic way. By extension I agree that Entry 38 was not a pointless entry. I mean you'd have to have flat out not watched it to call it that.

His latest Tweet said, that his tapes and camera are still "there" where he left them (wherever that is). Lack of camera --> no filming himself

THIS. I totally believe this. J hardly remembered any of the footage recorded during the making of MarbleHornets, so it would make sense he doesn't remember it. This also explains Alexs' hairstyle.
And, J specifically says he doesn't know where it fits in with his 7 month hiatus. That sounds fishy to me...Like he brought it up to foreshadow, y'know?
