 Skill List and Introductions!
So we know who everyone is and what they can do.

I thought it'd be handy to have a thread where we list what skills we have that apply to getting stuff solved. Also, it might be nice to have a little paragraph in the skill list that describes who you are and your availabilities.

Just bein neighborly and all;D I'll start!

Availability:::SPORADIC

General description: Classically trained musician with digital processing experience. Can also research. Time zone = GMT +9 (Seoul, South Korea).

***I'm a classically trained musician and am good with sound. I have sharp ears and I'm good with pitches and rhythms. I also understand the application of effects on sounds, so I can pick things out pretty quickly in terms of reversing, inverting, speed changes, and timbres. As I work digitally too, I have some basic recording equipment and can rip audio from video clips. I'm also halfway decent at editing the sound-clips to try and make sense of them. Between watching all of the available videos and before reading the forums, I deciphered most of the audio clips from various entries on my own.

***I'm good at researching. From years of debating on politics forums I learned pretty well how to find information, document it, and share it in a useful way. Weighing sources well is also something I picked up debating a lot, so I try my best to not toss unsubstantiated fluff around.

***I'm a freelancer, so my schedule tends to be pretty flexible. When I'm busy I'm loaded. When I'm not, free time abounds;D Right now I'm kind of free in the evenings.

Done! I'll add more if I think of anything. Right now, that's pretty much it.

(PS - It'd be a good idea to put at the top of your post whether you're actively working on things right now or not.

I'm OmegaX. I know stuff. (Or, well... notice stuff.)

Expanded info: I'm observant, sometimes to the point of excess, but that can only be a good thing in a series/game/whatever-it-is like this, right? I absorb information well, so if I've, say, seen something explicitly in an entry, and I later see someone contradict it, or if I see a poster re-positing a theory that we've discussed to death already, assuming I'm handy, I'm right there with a firm but kind word and/or a lovely fish to the face for the person in question. I'm also a fair hand at research, be it by Google or other web-based means.

Timezone: Atlantic (Canada), GMT-4

I'm An Iron Front.

I can be active, depending on the day...usually Tuesday through Fridays I can help whatever.

Skills: I...play hockey? And I'm a mixed martial artist.

No, but really, I'm a pretty analytical person and can point out holes in arguments or logic pretty quickly, and my memory is pretty good.

Haha, this could come in handy, especially when we need someone who can like, do magic with audio or something.

I'm JKatkina, or Kat.

Availability: Limited Active (can post like a mofo sometimes, but as the semester waxes my time here will probably wane)

General description: I'm an illustrator with image manipulation skills and storytelling know-how.

Expanded: I'm an illustration student, currently in my last year of college for visual communications/illustration, and it's a heavy year, so I'm on and off depending on the workload for the week or month.

I am experienced in the ways of Photoshop and messing with image colors/contrast/brightness/what-have-you. I'm familiar with image manipulation.

I also have some limited experience in AfterEffects, a video making and editing program.

I have been known to make a good argument from time to time, although my theories tend to have more to do with analyzing the theme and overarching storyline rather than the fiddly particulars. I have significant familiarity with the way stories are put together, and I like to use that to try and come up with where this story is going to go.

I like to organize things. I can write a mean essay and a reasonable piece of fiction.

This isn't a bad idea at all.

I'm Lifegospel, AKA Bryce, AKA The Don.
Availability:

- I'm an actor, so I have the ability to take on a multitude of different persona's at the drop of a hat. I can improvise on the fly, and I have an awesome memory.

- Writing. It's what I do. I have knowledge of common literary cliché, an extensive vocabulary, good writing skills, and I'm really good at doing research.

- I'm fairly good at crypto, and I can usually pick out anything weird in a video.

Not much else I can do from here. Most of my skills are physical, and although I'm a full-time student, the school's pretty lenient about letting us have free reign of the computers, as long as we get our work done. (That, plus I don't have school until February.)
I'm usually always online here anyways, except in the evenings, when I have rehearsal.

Timezone: MST (Mountain Standard Time; Calgary, Alberta), UTC -7hr

Hey there, I'm SlendoMusic.

Not sure how much help I can be, but I might as well post anyway.

I'm purplesharpie, aka Zab.

Availability: Sort of semi-active-ish?

General description: Writer and photographer with a good ear for music. Fairly observant, but not nearly as good as some of you guys. Skills include fixing images and asking stupid questions. Easily distracted. Shy. Very much new here.

Timezone: Eastern Standard Time, GMT - 5. I think.

I'm Leśniak. I may be useful.

Availability: Sporadically active, in between classes and other commitments.

Shit I Can Do: I'm a trained archaeologist and linguist, specialising in the ancient near east. I can read in Ancient Greek and Akkadian, and to a lesser extent Latin, Sanskrit, and Hittite.

To all extents and purposes, my entire life is about stringing sequences of events together based on limited evidence and too much caffeine.

I have extensive knowledge of the material and literary culture of ancient Greece and its immediate neighbours, along with some understanding of ancient Mesopotamian and Indic culture. I'm very good at processing information quickly, and because of where I'm based I have access to extensive documentation in just about any field anyone could possibly need.

I'm also a producer and stage/screenwriter in my spare time. I have a passable knowledge of cryptography, basic video editing skills, and I look damn good in black.

Timezone: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)

Not sure how much help I'll be, but...
I'm Dawnkitty.
Availability: Active

Description: I have no life, so I spend a lot of time on the forums and stuff, silently observing. Usually I notice things pretty quickly, but by the time I notice something and go to post it, someone else has already beat me to it. So I may not post much. I'm pretty good at noticing things when it comes to sound though. I'm an amatuer actor, anime/manga artist, and fiction writer, and I'm really shy and pretty sensitive. I can't take meaness and things very well at all.

Age: 20, going on 21.

Availability: Active!

Time Zone: GMT-6, Omaha, NE.

Skills/Areas of study: I'm a future educator, my focuses are on speech, drama, unsurprisingly-biology, and theology (I'm going to teach in parochial Lutheran schools). Needless to say, interpretation plays a big part in my studies.

As such, I know many "rules" or proper interpretation. That's my main strength, I guess. I'm also a stickler for spelling and grammar and I'm absolutely obsessed with the series, so yeah.

Availability: Sporadically active. I usually only get to catch up on the forums once a day, so I don't really contribute all that much. More often than not, I find someone else has already posted my thoughts or the thread has moved beyond that point. If anyone wants to call me out for my opinions, however, I'm more than happy to take a deeper look and post.

General Description: Unemployed college student pursuing a Computer Science degree. Limited time/knowledge for breaking down things on a technical level, but I absolutely love theory-crafting if anyone wants to get a thinktank together.

I'm a Building Operator IRL (that sounds weird in this context), so I know a lot about buildings and their systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, security, etc. The Entry in the basement of the poolhouse where Seth buys it is still my favourite (I'm watching it going oh - there's the drainpipe, there's some pumps, an old boiler, and on and on).

Also I have been a part time actor for 20 years (I'm 44) so I know how good a job these guys are doing. Its very easy to make trash on film.

I'm online a lot since work involves sitting in a room monitoring various systems and usually not much is happening.

GMT -5 (EST) in Toronto.
