 		I was going to search for the post by scrolling through her tumblr, but I've been paging for a while now and I just realized I hate tumblr. So....yeah. Someone else will have to dig that up.

Tumblr is basically: some designer looked at the blog format, snapped their fingers and said, "You know what, I just thought of a great way to make this *less* user friendly and *more* visually obnoxious all at the same time!"

...god, I really hope this fate doesn't happen to the other series when they start getting more intense. I mean, let's face it, all these vlogs are getting a free pass purely because the style of horror thrives on a slow burn. But eventually, you have show your hand or it just fizzles out. It's very unlikely that the rest of the slendervlogs are going to climax with safe-for-all-viewers shadows and darkness, happily free of gore and disturbing imagery. Is the youtube community going to be able to emotionally handle EMH and TT and MH going into territory similar or beyond what tja did when it freaked out? I'm not entirely confident of that.

 		Watching the taken down video now. (Self harm (the dog video technically was made private not taken down.).) I can understand why youtube did take it down - it was so light hearted because of the missing time "personalities" being so happy about it. It is because of the out of context implications of it. I don't think whoever on youtube's end took it down watch any of the other videos or watched the rest of the video after the first minute or so.

Watching the behind the scenes stuff now.

What is the other complete Slenderman Vlog?

I didn't want to be the one to say it, but this. I doubt the video got flagged for gore alone. Seeing two girls exclaim over the "beauty" of their self-harm, then nonchalantly discuss hiding evidence of murder is disturbing--but an entirely different kind of disturbing than Slenderman. "Glorification" of self-harm is especially controversial, because it's a real problem with real advocates and real destroyed lives. 

That said, I definitely would not have flagged it, nor do I think it should have been removed. It's horror and as such, it's supposed to disturb the shit out of you. The series obviously does not glorify self-mutilation or murder. But out of context, I can see why someone might think that from this video alone. Just as someone may have mistakenly thought the dog video was a positive portrayal of animal cruelty. 

All that to say, I doubt other vlogs will encounter this kind of resistance. Even if I'm totally wrong and gore was the problem, TJA had a rep for going for the throat (incorporating a real child, the dog episode), plus some mad makeup skillz. They could afford to have the camera linger on the gruesome, because the effects were well done and the shock-value worked for their series. But compare Amy's death to the death of Bruce in MH. TJA's gore and MH's cut to black were equally shocking to me. Both creator teams played up their strengths--TJA's special effects, MH's suspense-oriented editing--to deliver a WHAM episode appropriate for their series. Both showed their hand, so to speak, but in entirely different ways. A lot of vlogs just don't have the budget or skills to make convincing gore, so "How much can YouTube tolerate?" may never be an issue.

 		There aot of vlogs which alot more violence course we think poor Bruce could have been edited in Marble Hornets for this reason. There are many listings of vlogs with more distrubing videos.
