I'd like that link as well.

And seriously, EMH sidestory? I think the crossover possibility is really cool, but no. :I

Also, I really like how the makeup/whatever-that-is for the burns.

Guys I kinda found TJ's OOG Youtube and blog on accedient (did not know I was going to be sent there when I pressed that link). I could post it here but theres some spoliers on there that might really, really piss people off (found out what that bird thing really was and it scares me deeply). So, yes I can control myself sometimes.

I want you to know how thoroughly unconvinced I am that you "accidentally" found OOG blogs.

Hey guys, stop stalking the creators OOG. It's not cute. It's not cool.
Cut it out. If someone doesn't link something IG, then you don't need to be looking for it. This goes for all stories and games. I know for a fact that most of the creators don't appreciate stalking too much. You need to realize that OOG, all of the creators are real people with lives so don't go and spam their blogs with questions about their stories, and definitely don't go posting links to their personal accounts everywhere and then copy everything from their accounts onto the forums.

These people go out of their way to provide you with free entertainment (TJ&A is some pretty awesome stuff), the least you can do is respect them.

I'm looking at you Phenom.

Back it up there a minute.

If I start a blog, I can't yell about someone else reading it. If I write something online over here, I can't bitch if someone quotes it over there. And if every other author, director, etc., who puts themselves online can find a way to deal with the odd fan in their comments, so can the creators of Slender*logs.

It's not cool to pop into a personal blog and ask series questions, but it's not 'stalking', either.

I completely agree with you, to an extent.

"Follow, friend, subscribe," whatever to the OOG stuff, however, don't insist that they answer your IG questions. (And I'm not saying this to you, Mokie, just in general, haha.) But you're supposed to be getting to know the person behind the character, not simply harvesting spoilers.

You know.

The guy that thinks that what happens OOG is so important that it deserves its own thread here. You can't tell me that his behavior isn't a tad bit unsettling.

I don't like Phenom either, but PMs do exist. Although I guess you're on a uF trolling spree, so telling you this is pointless.

Josh Rallus: if it was directed only at Phenom, then you should have messaged Phenom with it. You made it a public discussion.

And on that note...

And if you're running a game, don't post spoilers if you're going to get all hot and bothered that people are actually reading them. Smile

Some creators are better than others at dealing with the odd asshat who can't figure out boundaries--that guy who posts nuisance questions about a story arc on a post about someone's dying grandmother, or who takes personal offense at their politics even if they never show up in series/game. (See: Randal Milholland's Twitter account.) The art of selectively ignoring comments has been around as long as comments, and if your creation gets popular, people WILL find you. People with no idea what netiquette is, or etiquette, or hygiene...

But at the same time, people can't be asked to respect boundaries that don't exist. If you discuss the game in your blog, people may comment. If you post spoilers, people may read. If you take down the fourth wall, expect folks to hop through and ask questions. That's not in and of itself out of line.

You're right. But you see, there's no filter on the readers' part.

Perfect case in point: the recent bit between TJA and EMH. There was a picture of Jeff holding a Teddy Bear. THIS MEANS THERE'S A CROSSOVER. NO FUCKING QUESTIONS ASKED. Of course, videos surfaced of the group hanging out... but again, THIS MEANS FACT, OBVIOUSLY.

Every time Phenom posts I want to enter the Witness Protection Program simply by the vaguest of association. Then I realize that's probably exactly the effect he's going for and I ignore him and move on with my life.

As per the OOG channel I see mokie's point, but I find the very public feeding frenzy over the information to be pretty tacky. In my experience there are quieter, less overt ways to acquire that information if you really, really want it (and I don't). Is that a rule, is it etched in stone? No, nothing is with these games; it's the wild west and pretty much anyone can do or say what they want or approach the permeable barrier between IG and OOG how they want. In the end, we can only conduct ourselves the way we'd hope to be treated if positions were reversed.

Re: the TJA/EMH connection, I didn't know if there was a crossover or not and thought it equally likely they were just hanging out OOG. I just tend to wait and see on this stuff. I'd have no problem with a crossover had it existed, my only concern was finding time to catch up on the other show.
