[Short Film] Halloween Urban Legends-Slender Man
YouTube: Link
For me it was okay, but I don't think it used up all it's potential. It's kinda of a copy cat to Marble Hornets (although I think they were kinda of influenced by ML Andersen).
Also, I dont know how everyone is going to respond to this but
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Slender Man is black in this one.
Also,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Slendy appears as little as a single frame sometimes in this one.

Lolwut? I see what you mean now when you said Slenderman was black. Also, did these guys do ANY research at all when making this? A quick google search for "Slenderman" would have helped these guys. Their "Slenderman" was ridiculous. It was great right up until the end.

I'd guess they're main info for Slenderman came from maybe reading the seeing this and hearing a vague description of him.

Overall, not a bad job in the slightest but nothing really struck me as 'oh shit' until the end.

PFT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This makes the Slondermon Short Film (the one where he's defeated by a cell phone) look like a masterpiece.

I'll have to agree with you there 20. And these guys had guerilla film making equipment too, and they still couldn't do a good job!

I would say the quality of the video is pretty nice, and how they told it. It was just the costumes, and the special effects at the end were just terrible. How is it that student's can make a better Slenderman than a lot of these professionals?

Wrong.
This was probably 10x better then that video. Considering that actually had an intelligent mindset on how they wanted to film the video. Honestly, if the slenderman didn't look so bad, I would've given it 4.5/5. But then again, the ending kinda sucked.

Agreed. It wasn't bad at all, except for the ending. Although I'm open to new directions, I didn't like how Slendy's actions were visible on camera. Defeats the purpose of why the damned thing scares me to begin with: I don't know why the fuck he keeps staring with that blank face, but it drives me insane.

This is a bit of an exaggeration, isn't it? This wasn't awful, but there's still a lot of room for improvement. As someone already said, a quick Google search would have at least shown them what Slenderman actually looks like. A black head? Definitely elements of both Marble Hornets and MLAndersen, although I sort of have a hard time believing the people behind this have actually seen either of those series. Obviously this is just a fun little short and not an elaborate horror series, so we shouldn't ask for too much out of it. Overall, I liked it and enjoyed watching it. The ending was cool, the attack was more reminiscent of Paranormal Activity than Slenderman but it gave me a jump and showed some skill in the editing booth.

Seemed pretty awesome to me. The descent into madness was done well. Also I think Slenderman should go invisible and beat the shit out of people more often >;D

I am very inclined to agree with the above two statements, as in, I don't think the whole "Invisible Slenderman" knocking the guy around at the end was very good. Nor was his obvious black hood, ugh.
The overall short film was great, filmed well. blip-appearances by SM were nice and creepy. Acting was good too.
Y U NO get Slenderman's general appearance right?????
oh well.

Maybe he could have used a... SLENDERMAN DISTORTION TUTORIAL! But in all seriousness, they could have used some distortion and a better slendy, plus the whole "invisible slendy" at the end was just dumb. These guys just really didn't understand the mythos.
