[OFFTOPIC] What about those who cant get IRC? I have never been able to get into the IRC chatroom. And my big question has been, just how much of the puzzles are solved on IRC? Are those of us who can't get into IRC missing out?
Well, as I'm writing this people are currently conversing with Beth in IRC. There's my answer I guess.
Level with me here. If I'm not in IRC does that mean I'm going to miss out on a lot of the action?

Actually, they are not in IRC, they are on AIM and Yahoo IM.
As not to have gone to IRC either, I don't know what to say to that. It'd be cool I guess, but I don't know how much help I'd be.

I'm not on AIM or IRC either (damn University proxy server!!!), but I think we should give some definite kudos to those who are chatting with Beth and are keeping us updated at the same time. While we might not be able to communicate directly with her, we could always suggest questions to those who are.

Yeah, she's talking to me. I guess I wish I was really in the IRC. Most of the problem solving seems to take place there then they come in here and post the solutions. Oh, well.
I asked her if I could invite her to a public room, that way we can all chat with her. Never got back to me on that one. We're just chatting provately.

Yes, that's what this is about. Maybe it's like what Insomniac said. My college net connection won't allow it.
Maybe I'm not putting in the right info.

I have the same problem; my university uses a proxy server and, even though I'm fairly sure I have entered the correct information, I still fail to connect. I've tried several programs - AIM, GAIM, Yahoo! Messenger, etc. - and all with the same result. Doesn't seem like there's much we can do about it I'm afraid except be grateful that those who were in communication with Beth were kind enough to post what was said (which doesn't actually look like much anyway!).

Yeah, it's probably your connection... firewalls and whatnot. That sucks.
