Honestly, I didn't notice until you pointed it out. Confused

However, I believe the link is for all the people who don't stalk him or visit MH forums. They could've passed the chance of owning their own Marble Hornets DVDs.

People here are obsessed with immersion. To me, that is somewhat concerning on a psychological level.

To be honest, it doesn't bother me. They have 60,000 subscribers, so I'm guessing it's the ideal place to try and flog a DVD, but they don't really need to put it on the Channel, saying that 1000 copies sold in 2 days, thanks to his blog, Facebook and I'm sure the Unfiction Forums had a small part in the sales!

If they really wanted to kill the immersion, they should have placed it on the TTA Channel. Now that would've been painful! Razz

When I first found Marble Hornets and had no idea of troyhasacamera or all the other OOG stuff I didn't mind the link at all. It just reminded me none of this was real, which it had done a good job convincing me before.

This is how J can afford to live, see easy to keep emersion. I figure that running from the Operator and running from the crazies stalking him/ stalking said crazies costs mucho dinero, and Jay doesn't have anyone to hit up for loans so this is his passive way of getting money. Besides it's either this or we get entries of Jay working at McDonald's....

It does bother me a little that they would put the link to the DVD on their otherwise completely in-character channel. Yes, pretty much every sane person knows that Marble Hornets is fake. And Troy, Joseph, and Tim have hardly kept it a secret that MH is a work of fiction. But still, I feel like it's not in the spirit of the game to post something OOG on an IG channel. In my opinion, they should have held off putting up the link on the Marble Hornets channel until the series was over.
