Gimmi some details then for Ikana's infernal sake.

For now I'll suggest the basics:

- Don't just write or film and call it a day, edit, rewrite, improve, don't just shove crap out there for all to see

- Be willing to buy things, from How To type books to props (if you're filming)

- Read more. Seriously go read novels. All sorts. Watch movies too, again anything you can get your hands on, but if you learn how very old (around the time of Nosferatu, 1940's) were made, that'll likely help with your own low budget film.

Plenty of help for writing a book available at http://www.nanowrimo.org/ -- links to advice and tools and a community of support, mostly geared towards pumping out a 50,000-word first draft in the month of November, but certainly useful year-round. Maybe start with "No Plot? No Problem!"

That's because it's going to be a spam post soon (my nose is twitching).
