equation password & explanation

the answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OS1642
. it is tricky to figure out but i take a crack at explaining it. the link is galileo and newton. one was born in 1642 and the other died that same year(clue on the website points to this) now the other way to get 1642 is to slove the equation revealed by the piece of davinci(the first or last dark wood block is place in the puzzle and you use the middle of Davinci as a map to figure out how to set the blocks around that piece.) then by sloving that equation you get 16 and 42 for answers. don't ask how exactly math is not my strong point. with me so far?
now the OS part is the part that almost nobody got. it refers to the modern name for the calender used back then.(i'm not 100% sure what it stands for except for the first letter standing for old)
hope this all makes sense
