Hey just a little spec but what if senior minker was on the train and not in the truck since ppl r saying that the truck was obliterated. "But he is the teacher" who's to say that he didn't leave for a little. I'm considering this cause we see the map cubes and it's kinda logical that it would be him u play as in this interactive trailer. Keep in mind it's only a little bit of spec but i may be wrong. Who knows

Very cool!!! FINALLY Cool

I strongly suspect the code is in the trailer. My attempts so far:

Trailer related:
02TF:88
RSOO:01
RS00:01
RS0F:02
RS0A:01
E642:5K
1216:05
4212:05
1205:42

Portal 2 Related:
1904:2011
2011:19
2011:04
2010:Q4

S8editingroom:
1962:19

Old Trailer (signpost)
2170:64

New-Trailer (cars)
2195:67
2295:65
3299:68

Phi:
1618:03
1123:58

PDP:
GRMF:55
GRMF:18
GRMF:65

Craigs List Clock:
1136:24
2336:24

.... Better get back to work. Lets get a few more Portal 2 you tubes/captures up see if anything else emerges (for those of us who don't
have it)... Also it was a clipping off cheat that led us here right? Probably worth having a extra snoop around with that on....

edit: We don't yet have the codes for all the other clips which would also be handy. The ones I'm aware of are:

CLIP 19 = ?
CLIP 23 = ?
CLIP 41 = ?
CLIP 46 = 1991:55
CLIP 73 = 8586:AF
CLIP 77 = ?
CLIP 79 =?

That's quite a lot of blanks...... Can anyone help?

...So only 1,838,265,625 possible choices then. No sweat!

Seeing as clip 73 ended in letters "AF", i think that the 55 might be a "SS".

But as for a pattern i cant see any, we need at least one more code

Web Page Code

After looking at the code. The form calls itself(index.php) to verify the password, which means the password is either embedded in the page in a php script or there is php script that calls to a database or another source to verify.

Hey folks so it does seem as if the code will be in this format 0000:00 Also after speaking with admin on super8news site they can be alpha numerical

So seems as if your looking for 6 number possible colon separation

so a000:b0 or any combo in between.

So keep your eyes out while playing the game look in hidden areas.
For instance the website link was found on the back of one of the containers. I think where it says this end up on two boxes ?

Maybe playthrough that demo a few times and write down all codes. What was the song playing on the radio btw?

Also when the ratio plays what is it coming off of? device? Infrasound gun=P

Thanks
Jane

The clip that is suppose to be released from the box Super8news received still has not loaded, so there seems to be some sort of malfunction there. Jane, you said you 'talked' with him(Tom). 1. Is he willing to reveal the code that he received to us? 2. Since his clip has not released, has he tried it again?

You know, a script could easily be written to test all the different combinations in the XXXX:XX format. This of course would do nothing if it's not in that format. I'm pretty busy at work right now or i would put one together. I will try to code something up if i get a chance. In the meantime if any other "geek" out there wants to try this good luck Smile

I don't know... Sledgehammering it right off the bat doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the game. The code will be out there somewhere, and finding it is part of playing the game. I say let's just play it out as intended, and not hack through it. Patience, grasshopper.

Yes, because brute forcing is always the way you are supposed to do things! no...wait... it was PLAYING THE GAME AND FINDING CODES THE WAY THEY ARE INTENDED TO BE FOUND that is the right way to play! that's right.... sometimes kidlets forget and need reminding Wink

seriously, brute forcing is hugely frowned upon. it breaks the spirit of the game, it ruins it for other people {which is why when you FIND a puzzle answer, people tend to ask how you got it, so they can learn how themselves}, not to mention it is really saying eff you to the developers.

Try being patient -and as Wil Wheaton says "Don't be a dick!"

First of all, take your own advice, there is a much nicer way of saying you don't like this method of determining the password and don't wish to see the results from it. I am merely bringing what i know to the table.

Second, this is a game, i agree with that part. And as close as i can put it, a "detective" type game. And there is always more than one, and usually not only one, way it is "intended" to be played. In real life some detectives go on the beat the try to search for clues that way, others use technology to figure things out. I don't see that being any different from this game.

And finally i don't see any difference with writing a script to do this and manually entering in the codes. It's not like i was suggesting someone hack the website to get the original source code. If someone just randomly puts in a code and it happened to work, would you look down upon that person, or refuse to use the results.

Anyways, basically i'm saying there is more than one way to play a game. And out of respect of the other players, if this script happens to produce results, which i highly doubt it will, i will not post the results unless a consensus is reached by the community wanting it revealed.

I messaged him on his site he told me the code he received.

I am not sure what he did about the code maybe he did mistype it, maybe it looked like EW.'s ...sloppy...I did not investigate further. I'll message him and see if he has any ideas.

I would not suggest sending random codes in at this point as you can see the codes will be very specific to the clip themselves.

But searching for the pattern maybe so far the all appear to be 0000:00

Yep, good. That's all I was looking for, a pattern for the password so it will be recognized when found -- Alpha numeric 0000:00. So those that have Portal 2 can search through the interactive trailer for possibilities, the rest of us can look elsewhere, the IG sites and such (I tend to think it will be in the interactive trailer somewhere).
